I went with my family of four and my mother in law. We ordered humus and pita and BLAT sandwich. I was sick for four days after my wife refused to eat the humus and pita as it was made using some sort of bad oil – my mother – in law refused to eat also. I cannot throw away food i paid for so I ate – i paid the price as the humus was made with bad oil and not only there was heaps of oil ( not olive may be canola) in the center of a well made of nothing like humus. Tasted extremely funny but I ate and new year Day 1, 2, 3 and 4 spent in bed. Now come to my order – BLAT sandwich was ok but the chips ( first time came completely burnt, second time with hair and third time with three food flies in it – finally refunded my money for the BLAT – I think the place is nice to hang out for a beer or so but the place needs a real chef…who knows what he’s doing…

Went here for dinner one night although I will say the food was lovely and heaps of it delicious chicken however the service was terrible, I had to go up to the bar to order as no waitress came to serve me and was practically ignored the whole time by them,had to ask for a jug of water, just seemed like they had other more important things to do and wasn’t just me but a lot of other around left waiting a long time only given 2 stars as the food did taste good.

Absoloutely disgusting food. I have given this place a few shots, the other day we had breakfast there simply because of the lack of good breakfast restaurants in Nelson. We should have stayed at home. The waffles are chewy and doughy, served with soggy bacon and mushy banans. My partners meal was small at best and meant to be ‘The big breakfast’. The staff are amateurs and look like they hate their jobs. Will not be going back no matter how desperate I get for some waffles!!

The only reason i have given this bar 2 stars is because the food is actually not too bad, albeit being rather small portions. The service seriously lets this place down- it could be a stunner place!!
The staff are downright rude and unhelpful. I don’t want to spend over $100 to be grunted at. The staff are not presented well and are just useless. However, in comparison to 623 on the Rocks, the one in the city is 5 star! 623 on the Rocks gave my partner and I the worst service i have ever encountered. I was subjected to glares, smirks, and was even ignored completely. i do NOT recomment. Try the Stables in Richmond for a fantastic bar and restaurant with the best service around!

we went for the all you can eat pizza, being a veggie i was dismayed at the fact the only veggie option was a plain old bboring margherita! and when i asked the wait staff (which i actually think was the manager) if they could throw some mushrooms on it, or anything to give it a bit of flavour, i was met with a grumpy attitude, saying that they cannot change the menu, i mean its hardly much to ask when the meat ones would obviously cost them more had we eaten them, I am appauled by the slow service and *dont care* attitude, and I will certainly not be setting foot in there again, I work in hospo myself and know that it not much to ask!!

Great bar/restaurant,the blue cheese/fillet steak is to die for!…was cooked to perfection
