Me and my partner went to the Aberdeen for dinner last night, we were so impressed, the service was wonderful the meals were quick and absolutely amazing, best fish I have ever had. My partner had a sirloin, it was perfectly cooked. Great value for money. One of the best experiences in a long time.

This is the first and last time my wife and I have been to the Aberdeen. The building is beautiful and really makes the most of the late afternoon summer sun. However, the atmosphere is severely let down by the consistently terrible service and average food. We were spoken to very rudely by the manager herself, as though she was doing us a favour by allowing us to eat there. I was very disappointed with my $28 fillet ‘steak’ which was overly small, overcooked and uninteresting. My wife’s salad was so drowned in marinade that it might as well have been a spinach sauce. All in all, a rubbish dining experience.

Myself and 2 others went to The Aberdeen on Saturday afternoon approx 1pm. Beautiful sunny day – hardly any patrons.

The service was tired, unproffessional and slow.
The food was warm – nearly cold by the time our condiments arrived at the table. Dirty glasses were not taken away prior to refills arriving. There were only 2 tables of patrons and we were still asked our table number. If this establishment wants to benefit from the Georgia Rugby team and its supporters they seriously need to up their game. I will in future go back to Strada – even if it isn’t such a lovely building with a sunny aspect!

Looking for a place open in Masterton on a Monday. Wanted to have dinner with my in-laws. The menu had a good variety and was reasonable. I ended up having the steak which was excellent. Very happy not to pay extra for sides like you do in Wellington. will definitely go back next time I am in town.
