We are irregular – regulars here. My wife introduced me to Adriatico in 2006. We have been 2 to 3 times a year since then. The menu is easy for her as she knows it by heart but always has the same thing. I try to never have the same thing twice so am working through the menu. I have to say i have never been let down. Chicken liver entrée and the Chicken and apricot main are Always her choice. For me, I have never had a better Squid entrée followed closely by the Scallops. I haven’t tried the steak or the pizzas at all. None of the mains have ever disappointed.

We are early eaters, so are always able to get a table. The staff are always the same. Quiet & friendly. The meals can be slow to arrive but as mentioned above we have never been let down.

A really good place to eat

Loved this place. Great Italian food, and a pretty extensive menu. The garlic bread was very good, and my main of Pork Masala was delish, yum yum. Nothing left on my plate! Nice atmosphere and decor, friendly staff always a plus. Look forward to going back.

One word YUM! Great little place. I had the steak, it was perfectly cooked and the combination with sauce was great! Would definitely come back as I also love how central in Henderson it is. The only reason I didn’t give a a full 5 stars is because I could write more!

First experience with the place was terrible. We walked in and asked if we could just have a drink. They told us no worries and the bar is over there. We asked for Cider (on the menu) but didn’t have. We asked for another thing off the menu but they didn’t have it either so decided to go for just a simple beer and were then told that we were only allowed to drink if we would order food with it so we left.

Gave it a second shot last Thursday. Reception was very unfriendly but the waitress serving us on the table was very nice introducing herself to us and really looked after us during the night without being pushy. Started with some bread, Real good home baked bread. As a main we both had chicken Frangelico . was o.k but next time I’ll take the small portion because it was HUUUGE! Food was a little pricey and no carpark.

The Big Boss could at least Smile, grumpy old man he was, pizza hut here we come..

Whilst in auckland for 3 weeks on business, we discovered an absolutely amazing Italian restuarant, Adriatico’s.
Between the 5 of us we tried a lot of the menu and could not fault the Steak, Pasta, Pizza or Pork Belly. Incredible taste to all the dishes and their sauces. The garlic bread was simply delicious.
The service was good and Dimitar was the perfect host and chef.
Well recommended by Donald and his mates.

I’ve been here a few times and always found the service great, the staff friendly and the food absolutely delicious. Its very classy and an ideal restaurant to take a dinner date to! It’s one of the established restaurants in Henderson.

They make all their pizzas, fresh garlic bread and the spaghetti mamma mia is mmm. They also do takeaway. Bookings recommended for dinner as it is quite a small restaurant.

We ate at Adriatico for dinner and found the service not particularly good. We were seated and asked immediately if we wanted bread to start, seeing as we hadn’t even had a chance to look at the menu we said no, but then regretted it as our orders were not taken for a long time after that and we couldn’t even get the waitresses attention.

We ended up just ordering mains and then dessert. The mains were very good and we really enjoyed them but the dessert (tiramisu) was rubbish and didn’t remotely resemble the traditional dessert, being just plain sponge with a bit of regular cream and cheap sundae sauce on top.

Overall, in terms of value for money it was ok, but not great, especially for the dessert.

This place is superb. Honestly time after time it never fails. Food is amazing I can never fault it and I am a pretty fussy eater. The steak dishes in particular are exceptional, they are always to your order never over or under cooked and are full of flavour. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Compliments to the chef and front of house staff as this has to be one of the best Italian restaurants in Auckland.

WOW… What a great little restaurant for Henderson. I usually just think of Tony’s when someone wants to eat out in Henderson, but Adriatico was a lovely surprise. Food was delicious, service excellent, prices a little higher than expected but good quality food.

18 Sept 2010 – Had a fantastic anniversary dinner last night. The garlic bread is a must have. Both the Involtini and Chicken Alla Firenze were outstanding. The chocolate mousse was good, but the Macchiato Gelato was divine. The house wines were pleasant drinking, and the coffee was superb, as always – my short black was not bitter at all. And the delicious port was the perfect way to cap off a brilliant dinner. The waitresses were helpful and courteous, if a little inexperienced. The toilets are pretty average.
All in all, a magical evening. We will be back! Soon.

Update August 2012: We have been here several times now, and have never been disappointed. The food is consistently great: very tasty, but not over-rich, and the portions are large. Our orders were taken and food served quickly. The waitress was very pleasant and helpful, but informal and casual….which we like. And the boss was friendly and all smiles A very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, not stuffy – great for dining with family, friends and workmates….or just the two of us. Our new favourite restaurant, for sure.

Love this place, the food is always fantastic.

Unbelievable taste sensation. What I love about this restaurant is that the quality, taste and service never changes – absolutely the best.

I love the food. It is been always delicious. We will return and highly recommend it.

We went there as a group of four and all had different meals. All of which were very good. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Clean and tastefully decorated. Would happily return and take others there.
