Me and my family dined at agave last night we found the main meals to be quite nice but the desserts were disgusting and the service was extremely shocking the ginger headed English waitress was very rude and it seemed like she had some where to be. As we payed a lot of money we expected better service, because of this particular waitress i will not be rating this restaurant very highly and I will not be back.

I would rate this 9/10. Great service, beautiful view and amazing food. My one piece of criticism is that we felt a bit ripped off by the deserts – they were not that impressive, in fact I found them disappointing. A bit of ice cream or something could have improved it a bit. My main was absolutely delicious though.
It was really relaxing there and I had a really nice evening and would like to go back in the near future for lunch.

Had a great dining experience here. I found all meals were reasonably priced. The staff were lovely. The views and atmosphere spectacular.
I left feeling very satisfied and not over stuffed. Will definately be back – look forward to having a brunch here on a nice summers day!

My husband and I have been several times to this fantastic restaurant, several times for lunch and the odd time for diner. It’s breath-taking, a place so fantasic. Beautiful views of the Tasman Coast and so close to Auckland. Service is always excellent, the food is excellent as well. Afterwards we sit outside with a special coffee or the best espresso and we feel in heaven. Super place! Mineke and Arjen Meyerink.

When you walk in you are met by the most fantastic view of the beach and Tasman sea.
We had the lunch menu with the fish & chips and burger. Both meals tasted great and had large hand cut chips. The lunch menu pricing is very reasonable.
After lunch we sat outside in the sun and enjoyed a glass of wine.
The service was quick and friendly.

Great view and excellent food 
.. I am not one who is easily satisfied, but I had a great time and delicious food at this restaurant. The service was fantastic and the staff were very friendly and caring. I highly recommend Agave and I will definitely be going back.

Excellent view, service was good. Food was fine but seemed to lack just a little flavour. (I had to add salt) But the outlook is fantastic – take sunglasses as the setting sun can be blinding! We did enjoy ourselves.

Our family of six including a 2 year old enjoyed a lovely dinner at Agave. The food was awesome especially my venison and the dessert was beautiful. Good service, wonderful spot. Would definately recommend. The staff even made the 2 year old very welcome, luckily we went quite early so it wasn’t to busy I would have imagined having a 2 year old during the busier dinner time would not have been ideal.

My family and i went to Agave and were really impressed with the service. it was so nice to be greeted with a warm smile.. There were 10 people at our table and all our mains arrived at the same time and were all very tasty. well done to the chefs.. my steak was perfectly cooked and the dessert was heavenly… I will be spreading the good word around to all.

A wonderfull place to dine. Wonderful food and staff. The menu and quality of food here is of a very high standard and wins hands down in comparsion to many restruants in both city and surronds. A must to vist.

This restaurant in my book is simply the best for many reasons. Firstly an adventure to head off towards a beach hoping you’ve taken the right turn and to arrive at this restaurant set on a hill overlooking the ocean –it’s breathtaking. We were blessed that evening to see the sun go down and everyone in the restaurant had a good view of it. The service was flawless. A friendly team, a warm smile and wanted to be of service. Lastly the food well presented and tasted real good. Thank you Agave’s we’ll be back.

We just finished having mothers day breakfast/lunch and the service was good with lovely waitresses who were friendly and efficient. After ordering we waited around 20Min’s for our mains, which was great! The presentation and the taste of the food was awesome. I would definitely recommend this place and would go again.
