Atmosphere in restaurants is important, and I’m afraid that Agendas nightclub half makes it lack in this department. A bit sparse and I could smell the cleaning agents!
Service was very good. Food also was good. My steak was basic in its presentation, but for one or two chewy bits that ended up on the plate, was welll cooked and presented. The wife’s pork belly was really just pork, but she rated it highly. Overall the meals were OK, probably scoring around 8/10 (average of the two).

My partner and myself when there unplanned for pre new years dinner. thanks that the place we were ment to go was fully booked up.
i had the special of steak on a bed of kumara mash and beans all cooked to perfection! my partner had the salmon which was perfect after we seasoned it.
but the desert i had was to die for totally orgasmic omg, my partner was laughing at me because of the facial expressions i was making while eating this desert. i highly recommend the Bailey Brulee it is delicious!!!! you wont be disappointed.
We will be back with friends.
Food – Had the pasta and it was very bland but when this was raised with the staff it was reified quickly and to our satisfaction
Restaurant – Early in the evening is is quite nice but as it get later they are trying to get you out the door so they can make this a nightclub so would suggest a early dinner here..

I have been to the restaurant a few times as well as others in town for lunches but not dinners as we are from a distance from Hamilton.
A nice environment, good food and back ground music, what more can you ask for?
Agenda always has friendly service and most important, great fresh tasty meals and a good variety of choices. This night some of us had 3 courses as the deserts sounded too nice to not have. We were not disappointed.
Even with being a busy night (and staff would have had an extremely busy weekend!) the service was good and even better the food was wonderful. Our Brisbane family commented on how much they enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

We read through the menu and were impressed with what we saw. We ordered the Antipasto Platter to share as an entree and our mains were the baked salmon and the scallops.
The platter was a great starter for the two of us. A generous portion. My companion only wanted water which was promptly supplied as was my generous (530 ml) beer.
The mains arrived without delay. They were fantastic. The salmon was beautifully moist with wonderful flavour and it was a good sized portion – I got to finish the bit that my companion could not manage.
As for my scallops, six extremely large scallops came perched on top of six juicy pieces of pork belly. A great combination, especially with the vegetable julienne salad with vinaigrette dressing.
By the time we had finished, we decided to skip dessert. We did see a couple nearby demolishing theirs and they looked great as well (the desserts I am referring to).
Extremely good value for money. Especially between 5-7pm when you can get a 530 ml glass of beer for $5.
All the staff were very pleasant and great at their jobs.
I have given it 4 stars – only because one likes to reserve 5 stars for something that one will probably never encounter.
Agenda – you have two fans and we will be back for sure. I can recommend this establishment with complete confidence.

We ordered the scollops and very really dissapointed. They were dry and a little tasteless. We also got the seafood kebab’s, and once again dissapointed. They came out cold. Took a bite into the scollop and it was dry! Asked for it to be replaced, only to find 2 Kebabs come back, and just re-heated. By this stage there was no point in asking again.
The fish and chip basket was so cute! It actally came in a Vat basket! Fish was delicious.
Garlic Ciabatta was delicious! Nice and hot, just the right amount of butter and garlic.
Overall , it was good. But really dissapointed in the scollops

I selected the vegetarian lasagne which was accompanied by grilled garlic bread and dukka with olive oil & balsamic (fantastic!). The lasagne was very delicious. Light and fresh pasta sheets, layered between capsicums and eggplant. The napolenti sauce, likewise, was very tasty. The twist was feta cheese – not a hint of the usual gluppy cheese sauce (yah!). It was real fusion of flavours that really worked well!
The staff were nicely attentive but certainly not overbearing. A good selection of wine, beer and spirits were available.
The decor was simple and pleasant. This is a venue I will return to, and bring my family along as the menu caters well for younger diners too.

The meal I had was presented on plate on a level comparable to far more upmarket and expensive Hamilton eateries, such as Palate. However, the portions at Agenda were far more generous than what I have come to expect from restaurants in Hamilton, and the meal I had was excellent value for money at $25 for a deliciously seasoned steak, vegetables and potatoes. I have been to other local restaurants which have disappointingly charged almost twice as much for similar quality steak by itself (sides must also be ordered at such places). There was plenty of variety on the menu, and I look forward to going back and trying other dishes.
The restaurant is set in tones of black and grey with red highlights, a slick modern look that is nicely complemented with cushy seats and a warm fireplace. Although the restaurant appears quite dark from the outside, it is surprisingly bright inside and the lighting has a somewhat romantic feel to it. I have found the noise levels at busy restaurants often makes it difficult to have a conversation because you end up almost shouting across the table, however, this was not a problem at Agenda. Despite the restaurant being full and music playing in the background, I did not have to raise my voice at all.
I had fantastic experience, and would thoroughly recommend Agenda to others.

I rearly have a salad when eating out however had the lamb salad at agenda and it was great. consisting of marinated lamb spinach & my person frave dried tomato & olive it was the best salad dish ive had all year. Agenda’s staff were friendly and prompt and the meal was ready in good time. Considering how busy they were at the time (almost full) i was stoked. Well done Agenda team look forward to the next meal.

My husband had the tenderised sirloin and he enjoyed it.
Entree’s were ok, dessert was fine, friendly service. Pricing was in line with other restaurants in the CBD.
There was a live musician playing – must have been a Pearl Jam fan – but it was good background.
The only thing that let them down was the tables and seating; it looked temporary (I think they move it to make way for the dancefloor) and seemed cheap.
But otherwise great. Would definitely visit again.
