My wife and I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasion’s. It is great to dine out at mid week. When you see how long restaurants stay open this place has stood the test of time. It has an interesting history going back to the 1950s. The decor and menu never changes. Why would you change it if it is working. It is basic cooking but always enjoyable. The only suggestion I do have is put in a couple of heat pumps to make it more relaxing in the colder weather.

It has been some time since my wife and I had been to this restaurant, but as a result of this visit, we realise that little has changed in the interim. We both had a cod entree, and for mains we ordered eye fillet steaks. They were cooked entirely to our satisfaction, and even the accompanying veges and salad and wedges were of a high standard. Ainos is not for the gourmet diner, but it does aim clearly at those who crave quality without pretension. Service was good without being suffocating.

Have been eating at Ainos for more years than I would like to remember – this is by far the Best steak house in the country – staff are friendly – any steak you order is always cooked to perfection, just the way you ordered it ! There are a number of eating houses nationally and internationally that could take a few lessons from Horst on how to serve a premium Steak !

Had a very pleasant meal at Ainos recently. If you like steak cooked properly, its the place for you. I had the Lumberjack I think it was called (try it, its hilarious, comes out on fire!!) and all the meals at our table were good.
Probably needs a bit of decor work done, but if you’re just there for the food you couldn’t fault it.

We went there for our work do last year and it was good to have our own wee room. Staff were very friendly and we chatted to them through the night. Meal was excellent(from what i remember) and didnt take long to come even tho there was at least 20 of us! Thanks will have to dine again!
I ordered the steak diane and received blue cod??? What a mistake to make!!! It was made up for in good humour and freindly service. Its a shame about the interior thought, definatly needs a bot of a spruce up. It seems hygene isnt on the staffs list of things to do either.

This is a classic family restaurant, The interior still looks very 80s & the menu is probably still the same as when they opened 20+ years ago but that means they know how to do it well!
For a very reasonable price you can get a large steak (or crumbed blue cod) cooked perfectly every time with a nice salad (no fancy bitter lettuce here, good old-fashioned iceberg) and seasoned chunky chips (or matchstick chips with some dishes)
The friendly staff are always happy to mix & match parts of the menu (their thick garlic sauce from the steak Dianne is great on everything!) and BYO is available or they have a fair selection of drinks at the bar once again very cheap.
Everyone I have introduced to this restaurant loves it & keeps going back – only problem is the entrance stairs mean no wheelchair access so difficult for the very young or very old family members to attend.

The decor is old fashioned to say the least! BUT who cares when the steak is always cooked to perfection! We go here often and the service is always friendly, helpful and the food gorgeous.
Just the best steak you could have. Great atmosphere, great staff who know their menu and know how to wait tables. Honest restaurant, honest food, honest pricing. We recommend our guests to Ainos.
