I give credit where credit is due. If a restaurant is great then I let them know. If they could use some improvement I suggest it. No I don’t know everything but I know what I like.

I hardly ever complain but this one I can’t let go past without comment. My partner and I went to ALI BABA Turkish restaurant tonight. We haven’t eaten out for a long time due to budget restrictions. So naturally we were excited to eat at a place that I have always known as great. How wrong was I?

I ordered the lamb rib like meat and oh my God!!! I thought I could smell that it was rancid before it even got to my mouth? But I thought no way would they serve that standard of food, especially in a large and well custom oriented mall like NEW LYNN MALL. I thought maybe it was the spices. I tried a few bites of salad and hummus that was average but ok. The rice underneath the meat was bitter and the meat itself made me want to puke.

When my partner asked if the guy behind the counter would smell it to check or even taste himself he was told immediately, “I sell twenty of those a day I’m not going to discuss it”. No conversation, no compensation and no god damn manners!!! Never ever eat at this restaurant unless you want to get seriously sick!!! I had to endure a 30 minute ride home in the car trying not to throw up. Bitterly disappointed that this place has gone so far down in standards. Maybe they should get a visit from a health inspector soon!!!!!!

Yeah they do use too much fat in their kebabs. Every 2nd piece of ‘meat’ is actually fat.

But their sheesh kebabs are pretty good. Quality meat used in those. But it does peev me off at times when I buy 4′serves of food for my family and I ask for garlic yogurt sauce to be put in a container for me instead of putting it on the food, and they try to charge me for the sauce! It’s fair enuf if they want to charge for the container, but not the sauce.

premises is nice, food is good, but they use a lot of fat, their kebabs are made by 50% or more fat in them. not healthy for daily eating. presentation is very nice.
