Very nicely decorated, spacious cafe with a mouth watering range of food to choose from.. Coffee Supreme coffee is fantastic, service was very friendly, and our meals were ready after a short wait. This was a 3pm ish Quiet Sunday. But it was just the relaxed atmosphere we were looking for. Was also very impressed with the alternative to the general breakfast meats, the bacon was delicious and fresh, the sausage was really nice too.

Wasn’t really impressed with anything at this cafe. The food was average with over cooked eggs, the coffee was rather cold and the service was slow at the time when the cafe was not very busy at all. The lay out of the cafe is lovely but that’s the only good thing I can find to say. They won best cafe 2 years ago. They definitely need to take that sign down.

I don’t normally bother with reviews but this place has fabulous coffee! So nice to go out and find coffee that’s not burnt. DELICIOUS food! lovely flavours. The sweet tasting plate is a great idea. Timely and friendly service. A wonderful first experience – I will be back!

Amazing coffee and staff – the breakfast menu is the best I have seen in Tauranga so far. Great prices and lovely outdoor area to sit in the sunshine and enjoy! We had the healthy option breakfast and the Easter Special which was very nice.

I go to Tauranga a lot for work and out of all the cafe out there, this is one that ticks all the boxes – the most friendly, best service, great food, great atmosphere. The staff are always happy and nice and the food is always fantastic! They make great coffee too. Well done!!

I was curious to see if anything had been done about the ‘Parent Note’ and after a few weeks between visits was very pleased to see the note had been changed! The new note does not mention ‘bad behaved children’ Instead asks parents supervise their children. I was shocked after the email we received informed us we were the only ones to complain, and that perhaps chipmunks was a better choice for our coffee stop. Very pleased with the change.

I like Alimento, good food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Admittedly the coffee can be inconsistent but lately it’s been great! I remember well when it first opened – Wow what a treat for Tauranga!

Nice cafe, great food and good coffee. The service is soooooo slow. I have stopped going because of the slow service and the mixups. Shouldn’t have to go back to get what you ordered a couple of times. Shouldn’t have to wait so very long in the first place. 20 minutes for a flat white and a slice is far too long. Pity.

Great place to have a coffee morning with the girlfriends! Very popular, the coffees great, the foods superb and plenty of service with a smile! A great place to take work clients and colleagues for a meal as well!
