At Alp Ice Cafe, a “Happy Smiley Face ” has been painted across the floor to convey the casual, friendly atmosphere of this relaxed cafe with a Mediterranean touch.
As you enter ALP ICE CAFE you can instantly see a resemblance of old Zigana Cafe (Devonport 1998-2008) because Alp Ice Cafe is owned and operated by the original New Zealand creators of Zigana Espresso Cafe!
Open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, the cafe offers a good range of wines alongside the award winning New Zealand fresh roasted Zigana Espresso coffee.
Come enjoy the relaxed “after work happy hours” with your friends, or before and after a movie or evening in Auckland’s CBD.

And now they just started having live music on Fridays called Gipsy Jazz Band, so it’s really good for going down there with some friends just to have drink or dinner hearing good music.
If you visit Auckland Alp Ice Cafe is definitely a-must-go!

we had checked out the nearly Chancery Lane, with its larger chain restaurants but our first impressions were that the food would be overpriced and average.
We found ALP ICE just down the road on high street.
Most impressed by the lunch menu, variety – & the prices were great – and the food more than matched my expectations : )
Friendly staff.
we enjoyed it so much, we returned 2 days later, and were equally impressed.
I recommend the Chicken Souvlaki, scallops, pizza’s…(really everything we tried was great!).
On leaving, we also purchased homemade cakes & and Turkish delight – yum!
I will be returning here on my next trip to Auckland.
