Adequate is the word for our Sunday breakfast. Me – eggs benedict with salmon. Portion size was fine and it looked the part, but a quite surprising lack of flavor was disappointing. The salmon was chilled and needed some acid, but there seemed to be no vinegar in the sauce at all. K’s fritters doughy and bland. My long-black was insipid. Won’t be breakfasting here again. Looks like everyone else likes it though. Personally, the generic greyness of the decor matched the experience for me.

Love, Love, love Alto!. Lunched here again today and could not fault our food. The menu is great – you would find something to please the most fussiest of taste-buds:) the cabinet salads, rolls and sweet treats are fresh and presented beautifully, the staff are welcoming and friendly and they play fab music!
Its easy to see why this place rocks with both locals and people willing to drive across town to meet friends and have a laid back brunch/lunch.

My daughter and I had brunch at Alto today, busy place and we didn’t book. We arrived at 12 and the lovely young lady let us have a table that was booked for 1pm. Very friendly staff. Cabinet food was plentiful.
We ordered off the menu, which was well priced and had a great selection. We had the mothers day special, raspberry pancakes. These were so yummy! Light & fluffy. It was also nice to see a healthier option of pancakes served with natural yoghurt and maple syrup served on the side, which was delicious and left us able to put on how much we liked
. We also had the home made muesli which came with honey, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. Fantastic, all the flavours went together beautifully and it was so fresh and crunchy- best muesli I’ve had!!!
We both highly recommend this Cafe! It also features in this years entertainment book which was a added bonus! Alto – keep up the great work!

Had a fabulous time at Alto. (did have great company also!) as part off a small group of ladies that regularly meet up for lunch at a different place each time, this was great. relaxed atmosphere, even though they were very busy, professional service, and delicious food! we had a platter designed for 2-3 people and it was enough for 5 of us. This is the sort of place I would take out of town visitors to, rather than somewhere in town, and there’s no hassle with parking. Highly recommend.

Alto is the quintessential ‘local’ suburban cafe, ticking all the boxes for a fantastic brunch experience; a varied menu with all the menu classics, very well-presented, great, no-fuss service, family-friendly, well-made coffee, and a laid-back ambiance that’s perfect for a quiet spot in the morning sun.
This is a professional operation that puts many of the noted city cafes to shame.
