The food is really good but beware if you are vegetarian because you need to ask about what has meat in it. The creamed spinach has ham in it.

We went there for a Hens/ Stag party with about 20 girls and boys being rowdy. We had booked the room to the left but the table set up was difficult and they sat a couple in the same room who was trying to have a quite night out by the looks of their unimpressed faces.

The waitress got a bit annoyed with us because no one knew what they ordered. That was understandable.

We did have a great night because they had two musicians playing live music. They handed out drums and instruments and everyone really got into the music. Everyone had a good night.

Food is really nice.

Recommended.

The food was OK, but not great. Similar to what I can make at home. $15 for a homemade tasting tacos is a rip off in my opinion.

I totally agree with Melissa. the restaurant is awesomw. the atmosphers is great the service brilliant. And the food is to die for. Im not sure were the other people have been dining but I suggest you get your head out of the sand. The cost of the food is excellent.
I had a birthday dinner there for 30 and they were great. It was fun and they even decorated for me. Tell me how many restaurants would go out of there way for a customer like that. Like Melissa stated if you want Flying Burrito Brothers with the expense, no parking close and dingy basement atmoshpere then head back there.

I am baffled by these reviews! My partner and I go here all the time and absolutely love it.
It is the BEST Latin American food in the city (not to lump all Latin American food together, but the city does not really offer many options for that type of food, so it is necessary.)

Because I have served tables for many years and maybe I should run by some general rules when dining out…
#1 – If you are in a big group, do not expect the same service you would have if you came as a couple. Big groups are incredibly demanding to serve and it would be nice if they were even remotely aware of that fact (sadly, they rarely are).
#2 – When you come on a Saturday night it is busy and there are other tables besides yours. Servers and kitchens can only do so much on a busy Saturday night and we cannot cater to your every whim in the same way as we can when it is a slow Tuesday. Certain things will not be done as well as when it is quiet. These people are human… could you do a better job?

Those of you expecting a “flying burrito brothers” experience, please stick to that restaurant and leave the gems to those of us who know what good food taste like.

My partner and I dined at this restaurant as part of a small group. The service was terrible in that we were there for 2 hours before being served our meals. The food was awful in that my vegetarian burrito with corn was ONLY corn and their excuse was that they had no vegetables that night. The toilet facilities were located outside the restaurant down a dingy alleyway and in my opinion were disgusting. The bill was small (even though they charged our drinks twice) but I did not consider this restaurant good value. I would not recommend Amigos and will not be going back.

Four of us went for a quick bite – waitress very friendly, but service possibly effected by english as 2nd language. Three items ordered (steak, bean salad, wine) were’nt available. Steak ordered well-done oozed red – sent back for recooking came back the same, just colder. One meal’s chips arrived 15 minutes after meal (not heated through)arrived. A hair was found in one meal, and foil in another. On a plus they didn’t charge for drinks… but that may have just been a mistake!

When i waled past this place i had my doubts about the place but went because my partner wanted to try it out.

I shouldve followed my gut because everything about the place was shocking. First of all i saw birds in the restaurant and the owner yelling at a customer.

When i finally received my Burrito, after 35 minutes, it was stone cold in the middle… You’d think that if anything it would be over cooked with the time they took to make it.

When i complained about it they would not take it back? Absolutely shocking! Worst place i have been to to-date!

The atmosphere is good, but the dinner (& drinks) did not live up to my expectations – and was pricey. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone I know.
