Lovely food but kinda strange customer service. We chose to sit in a booth (because the ‘table for twos’ were so intrusive ) and were told ‘this is a table for 4, you will have to move if it gets busier’ – made us on edge all meal. Tiny little tables with no room for papers are not great for weekend brunch so they need to relax a bit. Nice food tho.

I go to Arthur Ave Cafe in Kingsland on Tuesday nights for the live music , country , blues , hip , blue grass , dolcemer , live singing and music ..Wonderful . Plus the food is great .Like the market fish , the steak well just about anything from the menu .I think it is happy hour before seven on the wine .

Had breakfast there last weekend and somewhat they have picked up bit. I had roasted veggies sandwich with turkish bread and it was yummy. We also ordered big breakfast; the eggs(poached) were cooked perfectly. Everything else was good except for the potato square that wasn’t pleasant to eat.
The meals are just a bit on the higher side in price compared to other restaurants in Kingsland. I do not mind paying if the quality was there. The food just needs oomf with presentation, flavour and to be consistent every time. I mainly go there from another restaurant after a meal for peace and quietness, and to have a good conersation with friends over a cup of coffee or turkish tea.

We went there for afternoon tea with Grab one vouchers. The 4 large hot chocolates were barely luke warm. The desserts were ordinary, apart from citron tart that was delicious. The wonderfully described chocolate mud cake was a hugely disappointing wedge of stale dry cake where the best part was the icing. Will never go back.

We went to this restaurant as is was handy for the ladies to meet. The environment was old and shabby with the sanded, rough wall look. Parking was busy! Imagine at World Cup time??
The food was okay but the service was atrocious! They did not know the menu items and kept on having to ask the chef. Once we had our mains, they pretty much did not attend to us – busy eating. Coffee has half spilt into the saucer! Desserts forgotten until we reminded them. Time to step up before the World Cup.

I agree with the previous reviewer. I also dined here today as I had a voucher, but would not dine here otherwise. The place is very nice and the waiters are very friendly, but the food is expensive and overpriced. We ordered two pizzas which both came out soggy, soft, way too thin, and the taste just wasn’t great at all. The desserts were pretty good however. Overall, would not go back based on this experience.
Went to Arthur Avenue as I’d bought a GrabOne voucher ($20 for $40 worth of food). Unfortunately, turned up on a game night, and only the Rugby Express menu was available, i.e. choice between 3 pizzas, 2 pastas and fish/steak with chips. Restaurant had nice and welcoming atmosphere and staff were friendly and efficient, however the food was expensive and disappointing. While the margherita pizza ($18.50) was pretty tasty, nice and thin and crispy at the edges (although oddly had pesto as well as fresh basil leaves, and was somewhat soggy and limp in the middle), the spaghetti bolognese ($22) was below average, with overcooked pasta and not enough seasoning. Would never pay full price for this.
