Had dinner over holidays period, well gud that there was no surcharge so good on you Ashraf’s, Keep up the gud work of providing cheap meals during holidays…… Another thumbs up for accomodating when it was busy, nice work guys…..

Lots of choices on the menu good job…. Tried the famous Rogan Josh and Kashmiri Pulao… (Typical Kashmiri Dish (North Indian))….. Also ordered Chicken Tikka Masala……. Kashmiri Pulao is no where near to the actual Kashmiri pulao, it was as if i was eating a fried rice with cashews, raisen and dried cocunut and Rogan Josh I wouldn’t open my mouth guys, Kashmiri dishes are not what they are potrayed as, in their menu, I would say it was westernized version of the cusine not actual Kashmiri Cusine. Chicken tikka masala was ok………

Final word, not an authentic kashmiri cusine so be ready for disappointment if you are after authentic Kashmiri cusine………

We tried ashrafs for takeaway during our stay in wanaka. We also tried the spice room from a local recommendation. We are huge indian food fans and have tried alot of the best indian restaurants in christchurch. Ashrafs stands out as not only the best indian restaurant in wanaka, but possibly better than all the others we have ever tried. In our opinion ashrafs is the south islands best kept secret. Not rating 5 stars because we did not eat in.
