I’ve eaten at Bangkok Recipet about 4-5 times now. It has become my restaurant of choice when passing through Oamaru. The food is superb, and the staff are friendly. Usually, I take other people with me, so I’ve had the opportunity to sample many of the dishes they have to offer. If you like Thai food, or haven’t tried Thai food yet, this is a great place to have a good experience with it, and enjoy a delicious meal.

I’ve dined here twice and wild horses won’t keep me away any time I overnight in Oamaru. Take it from a Thai food nut: this is as good as it gets! Well, if it does get any better I want to know about it! Who says you have to go to a big city for the best ethnic food experience? If you’re in North Otago you certainly don’t. Very warm and friendly staff, too.

Beautiful food and the sweetest staff ever! Have been in a couple of times quite late at night without booking and the waitress (same girl both times) was so welcoming and provided excellent service. I’ve never been disappointed here and will continue to visit.
