Clean and tidy establishment, bar staff are friendly but often not the most experienced or well trained. I have eaten here twice and been disapointed with the quality – prices are fine.

You can spend a bit more on food and about the same on drinks and get a much better dining/drinking experience at Basalt around the corner, or GBS in the village.

The quiz night on a Wednesday is excellent fun with a large turnout

Went looking at this place for a meal and got yelled at by the owner for parking in the car park just beside the Barrel Inn – will never go here again and will make sure everyone I know wont either – imagine talking like that to potential customers – crazy

the food is good but the serves not very good but its ok

We go here about once a month with friends that live over East Auckland. They rave on and on about the great steaks served. All meals have been tasty. On busy nights service can be a little poor (tables wiped etc) but usually is very pleasant.

A fantastic place to take your family! My 2 children have been going for the last few years, it is our regular. It has a variety of food with a specials board for something different. The staff are always friendly and welcoming.

Great beer, good pub food but a bit loud atmosphere for myself after a night of talking to mates lost my voice for a bit – haha.
