This is a nice and friendly Vegetarian restaurant in city. We had butter paneer, Maasavarna and Purple Tofu. They were all yummy! You must try the purple tofu!

It is a nice place with friendly staff.

I ordered the soy drum sticks which was packed full of flavor and took away the carob macaroons which was just so so .

The elliot stables is definitely the place to chill out because of the great ambience…makes you feel like you’re in another country almost.

I would definitely come back to try other things.

I’m not a vegetarian but I somtimes like to eat a non-meat meal and I’ve had lunch at Basilicum a few times now. I like the food, it has spices, flavours and textures which are different from the meat based meals I normally have, and for me it makes a great change. The staff will tell me (honestly) how hot a curry is, at the moment I am on mild but working up to the hotter stuff, and they all come with a very fresh and crunchy salad. They seem to change their selection often, and the curries are all full of flavour. They also have some very different smoothies and traditional lassis.
The Stables is an interesting place to eat, for me it has a European feel but without the Auckland weather intruding.
Forget parking unless you are very lucky. Walk.

My partner and i were out to try a new vegan restaurant that had opened in February,we eventually found it and fell in love with it. Beautiful vegan food, we ordered the vege balls amazing taste and tofu delush,the sauces were very tasty and satisfying . Amazing vegan carrot cake yume . Very nice couple which own it no what they are doing . A must vegan restuarant to try .
