Well I live in Nelson and this is the only cafe regularly go to. The food is excellent, the staff are excellent and the atmosphere is excellent. My only issue is that if you go in the middle of the day on a weekend the seagulls can be a bit of a menace but being that its at the beach they do a pretty good job of keeping on top of it

We are back home in England now but can’t wait to return. This cafe was a little treasure we went nearly everyday and can’t wait to return.
Well worth a visit.
We enjoyed everything we ate but the pancakes, they were to die for. The staff were extremely efficient and very friendly. All in all we had excellent food, service and coffee. It can get very busy at the weekend but we will definitely be back.
You must try the slices.

We went to this cafe, looking for a nice relaxed lunch and was in shock when we went to order to find the lady making the coffee’s screaming at her staff, it was awful, we felt terrible listening to her tear shreds off them while the man behind the counter did nothing, especially considering the wait staff were excellent. The food was nice, but we would never return…
