It was our wedding anniversary, The lunch we had on Sunday was perfect, The wait staff were very friendly, the surroundings were pretty and the meal simply amazing, we both had a Late and I swear that was one of the best coffees I have ever had, We both had the duck for our mains and I can only give them 10 out or 10 for the meal. We would recommend Bees On-line without exception.

My husband and I are regular diners here, it’s our fav place to stop in when visiting family out in the area. We decided to go for lunch today, unfortunately so did what seemed like the rest of the city! We were told there was a long wait for food, that their kitchen had been swamped, and we probably wouldn’t be able to order for at least half an hour, which was surprising as usually we are in and out within 40 minutes.. however we decided to brave it. We ended up waiting over an hour from arriving before we saw any food on our table, but I suppose we had been warned. I questioned the manager about what was going on, other than the fact that the cafe was full and she was actually turning new customers away!!! she let us know that they were heavily understaffed in the kitchen, that there was just 1 chef and a trainee in there feeding all these people!! We then realised that instead of feeling annoyed, we were suddenly impressed! Spending some time in the hospitality industry in my youth, I can remember similar kaotic times, and its never easy or pleasant for the staff. When we got our food it was to die for, glad we decided to stay and well worth the wait. Good on you Beesonline I
felt sorry for you today but you did well!

They are always busy and we have found the service to be good. The restaurant is nice and airy. Any kids (or big kids) with you will love looking at the bees and enjoy the honey tasting. There is also plenty of room outside for them to run around.

The food is pretty standard and presented well. We found the burger and pasta as the best options.

ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC IN EVERY WAY!!!

We visited here today and had been about 3 weeks ago. It was a grey and rainy Auckland day.

We purchased some of their honey and then went to the front counter and we were greeted by a young man. He asked us if we would like to sit by the gas fire, however as I was quite warm and he said he could turn the gas fire off for us. We sat further away from the gas fire and noted within a couple of minutes, the gas fire had been turned off for us.

As we were just having a snack, we decided to sit at a table which didn’t have any knives and forks, however it had some glasses on it from the previous diners. The glasses were quickly removed and the table was wiped down by a waitress.

The waiter brought us a bottle of cold water and even the glasses were chilled – fantastic!! We didn’t have to wait long before our chai lattes and large cookie arrived with 2 plates (we shared one cookie between 2).

The chai lattes were delicious and our cookie was divine. Once we had finished, our latte glasses and plates were cleared very efficiently.

We paid for our snack and just as we were leaving, the waiter came back from somewhere carrying an umbrella (it was still raining outside). He actually handed us the large umbrella and said we could borrow it and just to leave it in the car-park when we had finished with it. What a fantastic gesture!

We would rate the food superb, the service second to none and a lovely setting. It is great to go to a place which has impeccable service – discrete yet so efficient. Absolutely recommend this place, could not fault it in any way. Will enjoy going back for lunch some time.

I have been meaning to write a review for ages… I went to BeesOnline for lunch just before Christmas. I had the Squid and although the seasoning wasnt quite to my taste it was cooked perfectly! My husband loved his lunch but I cant quite remember what he had. Service was good. I would eat here again when in the area.

Initially I was expecting something to go wrong when I tried to book a table for an evening meal. The lady on the phone sounded very unsure of what she was doing. However the table was booked, the meals were delicious and the service was impeccable. My one suggestion would be to have golf carts to take patrons back to their cars, I was so stuffed and content I had trouble moving!!

The food here is always delicious and focuses on using honey as an ingredient, but this visit was just for a coffee. My soy mocha was just as good as the food, and couldn’t be faulted. If you’re looking for a place to take your Mum on Mother’s Day, then this would be it. A reminder though to phone and book at least a week before. This cafe is often packed on weekends, and there is a good chance that without booking, there will be a long wait for a seat.

Recommended.

BeesOnLine is every thing that the previous reviewer said with quite marvellous food(in rather a lot of visits every single dish has been memorable)very good service from very friendly staff, great west coast landscaping with flax and toetoe and comfortable seating if they happen to be full.

This is our all-time favourite eating place (and we’ve been to a great many in our rather long lives.)

Outstanding place to go for lunch.
These people have created an environmentally sustainable business – from their building design, to their food, right through to the honey that they make & sell.

This is a must-do for anyone who loves food and culinary creative excellence.

They talk about their honey like a vintner would talk about wine.
