I have been to Bella Kai a couple of times in the past few months. The food has improved 200% since my first visit a year ago and I find them to be very competitive price wise. Their staff are friendly and helpful.

The only downside to this establishment is the lack of ambience in their cafe area. Sitting in the middle of a ‘warehouse’ with a hideous blackboard separating the cafe from the supermarket area is not nice. I am forgiving for this because the food is SO GOOD!

It would be nice if they separated the cafe off by a wall where the blackboard is now. Add some couches and some rugs on the floor to stop chairs from scraping and put all the goods for sale in a separate area. Give the cafe a more cosy intimate atmosphere and I am sure a whole lot more people will become regulars!!

Out of 10 I give them a 5 for atmosphere and a 9 for food quality, price and taste!

My partner and I decided to go for coffee, our first stop was closed ( we did kinda leave late in the day) so off we went to Bella Kai. From the outside the building gave the impression of being a large store with lost of goodies inside. The fruit and veg area was well displayed, inviting even, as was the gluten free area. The pantry was OK, but why stock items you could buy in the supermarket. The cafe was clean the staff friendly , though it looks out over the car park in my opinion it would have been better to have the window’s toward the Highway, at least you could watch the world go by. The food was average, as was the coffee, my long black had been poured a little early so it had lost some of its creama
