I enjoy going to this restaurant for the atmosphere, and I always enjoy the pasta and pizza bread, and pizzas, however was very disappointed with my side salad on our last visit – $7 for a couple of lettuce leaves, 2 olives and little bit of tomato. It was tiny, and not fresh – a bit of wilted lettuce was hanging over the side of the bowl. iI wish I had complained at the time. The prices are too high for the size of the meals. Please improve your salad and we will be back!

Fantastic friendly service with a very disappointing meal. Overall, the meals did not reflect the high price charged. One large Pizza, one Tortellini main (no substance, mostly cheese sauce and under heated), two entrees and a bottle of red for $140+. For the money, I would not recommend to others or return ourselves,

Quaint, dinky, kinda romantic, Kiwi-Italian family restaurant.

Friendly service but extremely slow – not recommended if you’re on a schedule or really hungry. Valentines Day was extremely slow for us! Waited over an hour for our mains and missed half our movie. Food was ok, quite nice, but nothing to rave about..

Nice for a medium priced night out on a slow bottle of wine with the missus

Not impressed. Took so long to get our food and then got bread with the main meal. Garlic bread was very hard and the pasta was nothing special at all. Very disappointing for twenty dollars. They didnt even ask how our meal was?

Authentic Italian cuisine is something I enjoy and the smells emanating out of this restaurant re-enforced my cravings for this type of food. I was however really disappointed with the food and service at this restaurant. The setting is nice and cosy yet the food is overpriced and of a poor quality. I did expect the calzone pizza to be a folded over, a sort of stuffed pizza (something I normally associate with a “calzone”) yet I received a small normal flat pizza with finely chopped onions, some cheese and little of anything else.. All for $20.00 and $3.90 for a can of coke.

got a takaway pizza and was told it would be a half an hour wait. The cook did not even start making the pizza until 45 minutes later. No appoliges or nothing. Pizza was very tastless and basic for a $30 pizza Rip Off. Will not be back

My cousin and I wanted to have lunch somewhere different so we walked past the Italian restaurant and thought what a coincidence as we have never been there before.. We were welcomed warmly..its a very small restaurant but it feels very Italian and cosy..after taking our order we were surprised we were the only ones there. What was disappointing was the order took forever but as soon as the pizzas arrived boy they were delicious..the best pizzas we have ever had..would definitely go back worth the wait I tell ya..

We really enjoyed our meal at Bella Mia. It is a small family run Italian that doesn’t pretend to be anything its not, but has a pleasant “Italian” atmosphere and good food. If you want straight forward Italian food with personal service then you can’t go wrong here. Bring your own wine, sit back and enjoy yourself.

I have not dined here, but merely bought a gelato with a friend as we walked by. Not a massive choice, but it’s great how it’s all homemade and natural. I got Pear gelato – yes it may seem strange- but it tasted absolutely delicious! I have never had better ice cream than that.
Nothing really to criticise, apart from the restaurant looks quite small and dark.. However I haven’t really been in there. Overall great little place and the best gelato I’ve tasted.
