Best value EVER … great place to take the whole family and a really good price for all … we eat here often … it is the best place to cook a steak when you do not have to worry about the mess on your own stove at home … yummy salads but as I have alot of allergies to food, these guys make me a salad out the back of just lettuce so that is really appreciated

Since the phone call I had with Greg Mac the menu prices have now changed, funny that he says he has nothing to do with the website….If you are to have any dealings of complaint with the I.L.T, I strognly suggest you request to speak to someone that will not take it personally!!!

Thursday 12th January-Group of 21

We googled Big willy Rustlers and this was the first site that came up, we checked out the menu then forwarded it to friends and family that were attending.

Once there we realised that the prices were different and we brought this to the duty managers attention, in reply she then went and printed off a copy of the updated menu and prices, by this stage everyone had turned up so we just left the issue and ordered our meals. The restaurant staff were great!!

The next day I rang head office and spoke to the receptionist as Greg Mac was still on holiday. I asked the receptionist to do as I did and google Big Willy Rustlers, she then did this and realised that yes there was indeed a menu come up with the prices I had informed her of and that she would print it out and pass the message on to her boss.

Today Monday 16th January I received a call from Greg Mac, he was extremely rude and disrespectful in regards to my issue of complaint, I asked him twice to calm down, according to him this menu has nothing to do with the I.L.T and that he is absolutely in no way responsible for this. I then said to him, are you not willing to apologise for the misunderstanding to which he replied..apologise for what??

In my opinion the way Greg Mac has handled this situation is absolutely deplorable and there should be no room for people like this in the hospitality industry..

Nice meal, don’t mind cooking my own at all, but please….get some decent potatoes, the ones you’re selling are disgusting and old!

Friendly staff amanda!!!!!! i had a meal at this tavern recently and it was quite good i have to say but after moving across to the public bar for a few after dinner pints i was left standing at the bar for a good 10 minutes before served (there was probably 20 people in the venue). after paying for my drink and having my change pratically thrown at me by the most unfreindly and inhospitable young lady i have ever come across in the hospitality industry i sat down and had my drink with friends. last drinks were called at rougly 10pm, so i asked the bar lady if it would be possible to purchase some ice before leaving. she stated that the bar was closed and asked us to leave i then asked if she would ring our party a taxi to collect us from the front, her responce to this was also that “the bar is closed” we eventually managed to call a cab from a borrowed cell phone, anyway even today as i write this review i am still immensly frustrated at the conduct of the staff at this venue. I did get teh feeling this young lady didnt want to be there this night but thats beside the point having worked in the hospitality industry for a number of years this sort of attitude spells death for any buisness. Any way i would strongly recommend avoiding this establishment if looking for a night out in invercargill it really is the worst ‘pub’ i have ever experienced

Great atmosphere, nice friendly staff, But cant understand why u would want to go out for tea and have too cook it whats the point in goting out for tea? Also my Baked potato was not cooked in the middle.
