Had a booking for a birthday for brunch, booking was for 25people unfortunately only 19 could make it. After ordering drinks, owner came to the table and rudely told us all to leave as had not filled the booking number. We were all appalled at how he spoke to us and shocked to be kicked out. Will not be returning or recommending to anybody. One positive, the wait staff were extremely apologetic and also shocked.

Totally the best coffee, hot choc & chai latte in the city …and you get chocs & marshmallows..great assortment of desserts & cakes on tap…we enjoy it for its convenience of parking in the evening; never waiting too long to be served; friendly staff & yum food of course :)

i went to the black dog for a Christmas works do and had a lovely time, the staff were helpful and friendly and the dessert was awesome. sadly i had a steak and it was very undercooked. I had asked for it medium but got a rare steak and the salad was made up with all the hard end bits of lettuce but other than that i was really good

Service was good, but slow on checking your drink. Two meals, one salmon. one rib eye steak. Salmon was good, nice size and cooked great, but So called rib eye was not at all, maybe porterhouse or leather!! who would know. Over cooked, wrong cut and leather like. Not good, chef was told about steak, replied by saying not his problem, as we don’t know what the steak is like when we buy it! Baked Potato, kidney, mushroom and bacon was nice though. Salad was crap.

What a fantastic place!
I love the multiple different spaces here – little hidden couches . . .
Gorgeous decor, and perfect moody lighting.
Yummy food.
