We were so looking forwarded to going to Bordums as we used to go to the New Market one all the time. But what a BIG disappointment. The place was cold and had no Turkish feel to it. The food was awful and the pita bread was not fresh. The services was slow, I would not recommend that you go. O stars

What a shame this iconic restaurant has turned into a huge disappointment.. When in Newmarket it was lovely, great surrounds/food. Maybe it has new owners? They are not licensed for liquor even tho it says so on the menu. Food was average, I had Chicken Kafkas – I did ask the waitress about the dish and she did not seem to know much about it. (I was enquiring as I am pregnant). There was way too much guacamole on it. My husband had Chicken Moussaka which was ok, not allot of flavour. We also ordered side of Pita Bread, which did not arrive with mains and only came when prompted to waitress, when it came it was not overly fresh. Overall it has lost its ambiance, whilst I know this venue is much smaller than when in Newmarket they could still have retained some of the nice Turkish feel it once had. At this point I could not recommend based on Customer Service, Quality of Food or atmosphere. 0 stars.

Now they’ve moved to Royal Oak. Ended up going twice and twice they got the order wrong. Fish says with potatoes and vegs…yet it came with rice and salad. Very average. Wont be back.
