I ate breakfast there yesterday and was unexpectedly disappointed.Having eaten there before I have always enjoyed the food and the place was clean and cosy. Yesterday I found the cafe less than clean with a grubby looking menu board, ditto for the coffee machine, a chip in the lip of the cup, windows grimy and the toilet seat was unstable. The basin was disgusting. While the food is good I will not be going there again. Tanya

We eat out for breakfast a lot – just ask my wife! Bolton St Cafe provided awesome food, simply and elegantly presented. The coffee was excellent and the service was friendly and efficient. Good value for money too. We’ll be back. Tomorrow honey?

Biggest ‘Big Breakfast’ I think I’ve ever seen! Great quality food and fast efficient service – I’ll definitely be back for more.

Regular customers – coffee always good but could do with a bit more variety in the food department would be great. Service superb.

Had brekkie 19/3/09 on way to work as a birthday treat.I had eggs benedict and a moccachino,wonderful and tasty.The guy that served me was friendly.I thought $21.60 was a bit on the expensive side so wont be going back unless for a special occasion.

Have been there lots of times now – a great local cafe. Child friendly, good fluffies and child’s menu options and good toy box. Friendly staff – sometimes not always perfect but this is made up for by their good cheer. Owners also very friendly and very receptive to feedback. Food mostly fantastic – simple and tasty. My only issue is the coffee is really weak – double shot at least needed to satisfy the caffiene fiend.

I have eaten here about half a dozen times. I have been pleasantly surprised with the consistency and quality of the food.

It is nice the we are finally getting some decent eateries/cafes in West Auckland.

If you need to meet with someone in the New Lynn / Blockhouse bay area, this is a great choice.

Very disappointed. Greasy breakfast and hollandaise sauce was like melted butter.
Service very slow…. not enough staff on.
Seemed to be cutting costs in the wrong places.

Highly recommended. The flair and enthusiasm to be successful is obvious, food quality and customer service fantastic.
