I can highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. We have been visiting Bombay Brasserie since it opened many years ago. The food has been consistently good in all the many visits we have made and the services is excellent but not intrusive.
The dishes can be as hot or as mild as you like but this does not diminish the authenticity of the food. My partner is vegetarian and Bombay Brasserie is his first choice of restaurants in the Bay.
I collected a takeaway from this restaurant whilst here on business. They kindly made a prawn madras for me with basmati rice and a garlic naan. It was very tasty (hot, but I like that..)and the portion was generous. I opted for prawn as they use chicken thigh meat, not breast (which I prefer and is used in 95% Indian chicken curries in the UK). I would definitely recommend – one of the better Indians in NZ (I miss a good curry, alas).
