Had a great night watching the All blacks , nice atmosphere , good food and service. Will be back for sure the dukebox was fun for the kids and adults good to have a local bar close to home , good crowd made the night enjoyable also .

We live in the area and came here one rainy night for dinner. The setting still feels like a ‘local’ BUT the food was amazing. Nothing fancy on the menu but true blue kiwi food (1kg Ribs – had enough meat to feed a horse). Service was attentive and the staff are keen to please. The prices are abit high (for the setting), but the food was worth it.

The change of ownership has made a real difference… hopefully with more regular customers some revenue can be put into the make the setting abit more up-market.

The Boulevard has done a complete turnaround lately and we’re impressed. The food is top class and equal to anything at Mount Maunganui. The prices are a little more, but are also in line with the best restaurants at the Mount. Hey, it’ so nice to have a local where we can trust that the food will be excellent and where we can take our friends and family and know it will be a great night. Thanks Boulevard for getting it right.

Went to The Boulevard today for Mother’s Day lunch. I had the special pasta. I have to say, it was one of the most delicious pasta dishes I have EVER had!! Seriously scrummy and the staff were super friendly and very attentive. Everyone finished their meals and were happy. We will definitely be going back as this is an awesome, well laid out bar and restaurant.

New management this year and the place is really lifted. Great food as well as good for a drink and nibbles. We are enjoying this new local and have been back a couple of times. We recommend giving it another try and talking to the new staff

Had dinner and drinks the other night, there were 10 of us eating found the meals to be beautiful and well presented, the staff were friendly and excellent service. Will definitely be telling others and going to The Boulevard. Management and staff over the night offered us the courtesy van for a ride home if needed. Many thanks to the staff and management for a good night.

We’re guests at a 40th birthday and we were all locals within walking distance. Like so many other reviews when we asked for the courtesy vehicle to drop us home at 12.30 it was like pulling teeth. We ended up walking home! Local people wanting a friendly local bar and restaurant….. Not too much to ask is it?

Had dinner with my wife for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed it, the food tasted great and the service was just as great. Very attentive staff, will definitely be going back again!!

Went here for Father’s Day as its on our doorstep. What a mistake! Meals were tasteless and cold. Only two other tables occupied and they both sent theirs back because they were cold too. The manager on duty asked us how our meals were to which we replied….disgusting……4 meals hardly touched. She then disappeared and returned with the owner in tow. He asked us what the manager had done for us…..nothing we replied……what did the owner do, nothing…..he was too drunk for a start and didnt really give two hoots. After telling the owner we would probaly never go back…..his reply…..don’t crusifiy me for the chef’s fault…….hhhmmm hello….you are the owner!! Wish I had read the other reviews before we went….waiter was excellent but the rest…well

Wow had my hens night here couple of weeks ago, was an awesome night, had a great time and the staff were great, will drfinitly be visiting again

I recently organised a celebration dinner for a milestone birthday for a group of 37 people, and we all had a great night. The relaxed atmosphere was one of the reasons we chose Boulevard, and it suited our function perfectly. The food was excellent and we found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Thanks very much!

The evening started well courtesy coach picked us up in 2 shifts as scheduled, great I thought the reviews I read were incorrect. How wrong I was…. It was my night to organise the dinner group and there was 14 of us in the party. The owner was a rude ignorant little man who cared very little for whether we were enjoying our night. We weren’t served the correct meals when approached about the mix up the owner told us it wasn’t his problem, Well who is in charge here then was our reply he just swore and walked away, unbelievable. Our meals were very small and cold, was there a desert menu, I don’t know as after several attempts I gave up trying to find someone to ask. We could hear and see the chefs arguing with our waiter and the owner and being very disrespectful about us. Would we go back, NO WAY, not unless Gordon Ramsay paid a visit to them and fired the lot of them

Friends of ours recently had their farewell party here because they had just finshed working here and wanted to support the owner. I know they had paid for and organised the band and the food and a pretty decent crowd had gathered. The night was going really nicely when the owners girlfriend started swearing, abusing and pushing my guy mate. They both confronted the owner expecting him to solve the situation who initially did by taking her outside. He then did a complete 180 and let her back in and told my mates to stay away from her. My mates who were having the party, me and pretty much everybody else that was there were disgusted with the owners choice to let her back in and when my friends voiced their opinion that she needed to go (which turned into an argument) he kicked them out and shut down the band. (11pm a good 2 hours before it was supposed to end). How could the owner be of sound mind to make these judgements when he had been drinking throughout the evening. We are all gutted for our mates 1. For the owners choices that night 2. Because I know they both went the extra mile while working there. I would not recommend going to the boulevard for a drink, meal or function and I certainly wouldnt recommend anyone to work there under the current management structure.

Had a lovely time at the Boulevard recently as I was visiting from the South island to Tauranga for my regular business trip. Had the Carbonara Pasta which was divine, the staff are polite and courteous, especially the owner went out of his way to accommodate me and my wife as they were full on a Sunday afternoon. The live band is awesome. +++++++ Keep up the good work, will come and visit again.

Very poor form, when i ordered the courtesy van last year at the checkout i was told no way…i inquired why and they told me the boss of the place was too drunk to drive me!…not a good look. The place needs a kick up the backside especially management. You have the potential Boulevard to be a very good Bar/Cafe.

We went here for dinner to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Hubby ordered the minute scotch steak with beef & red wine jus, I ordered the crispy skinned salmon. Both meals where beautiful. You could drink the jus from the steak. The salmon was cooked just the way it should be, neither undercooked or overcooked.
Very nice staff.
We will sure to be back often.
