I chose the Braided Rivers Restaurant for an intimate dinner with my husband. The atmosphere was quiet and contemporary with neatly set tables and welcoming staff.
Menu selections and variety were adequate enough to appease most tastes, with a children’s menu available.
Meals were appetising, well cooked and aesthetically pleasing.
Portion size was good for all dishes served (no ducking out for a burger afterwards)
The Duck liver pate, was creamy and enhanced by the accompaniments, only improvement, would suggest ciabata be toasted.
lamb shoulder- falling off the bone tender, accompanied by well cooked Potatoes.
Game Plate- Hare Ravioli enjoyable, venison a little tough, pork sausages would perhaps be best replaced to add interest.
Desert selection tempting, chosen Creme Brulee creamy and delicious.
Staff very attentive, with all courses sufficiently spaced on an obviously busy evening.

I’ve dined here for lunch on several occasions, and will not hesitate to do so again. But in saying that, the food is very hit and miss on the quality front. I had the steak sandwich two weeks in a row, and while I enjoyed it the first week, the second week the steak was well over cooked, and there was way too much chutney on the bread drowning the flavour of everything else.
