First time dining there and it was much worse than I expected from a cheap family restaurant. Overcharged – which got sorted. Forgot garlic bread with the mussels – had to ask. 6 of the mussels were unopened, which means you shouldn’t eat them! My son enjoyed his kids meal, but the 3 adults weren’t impressed. Nana wasn’t able to eat her chicken schnitzel because there was too much cracked pepper on it. Steak was supposed to be medium/ rare but was well done. I don’t usually like to write negative reviews because they stick around longer than the customer remembers. However regret going would have had a better standard of food from a fast food chain.

We have just started going back to breakers over the last few months. We find the bar staff a great.. But after our last five meals I don’t think we will go back. The roast vege’s are never cooked, the fish tastes frozen and even my last breakfast was shocking, the eggs were like rubber. We haven’t complained to the bar staff as they are always busy.It is a shame about the food, it is a nice place to go.

OK I guess for a Breakers Restaurant. Certainly better than from another Breakers we have been too. Good priced meals, and a reasonable choice on menu. But sometimes can be a bit mass produced tasting.

I think Breakers is more of a relaxed/casual, family type of restaurant. That’s in a good way though – if you aren’t too fussy about etiquette. The service is always nice, it has a great atmosphere and the the menu slightly resembles a Hawaiian-beach style surf shack cafe. Which is great for those days you aren’t dressed up fancy and just want a good relaxed meal.

Dined there last night with my family. Good atmosphere with kids – there is a kids corner with coloured pencils and activity sheets which was good.

Meals were a little slow in coming tonight – and other patrons were getting a little antsy too about the slow service.

The meals were good – they are what they are – pub food really – cheap and pretty satisfying.

I had the Vegetable melt – it tasted good – although the top of the Foccacia bun was a little too charcoal burnt. The crinkle fries were good and the kids meals are very reasonable – both in price and for what you get. Will most likely dine there again.
