On the 29th April 2012 we celebrated our grand daughters birthday at your restaurant. We were in a party of 9 adults and 2 children and were very disappointed with the quality and quantity of the food. One of our party ordered a shrimp cocktail as an entree and the dish came out with only 6 shrimps and the rest was full of lettuce. When she complained the reply came back that the chef said that the cocktail had enough shrimps on it. Later that evening the waitress re-reimbursed the money that had been paid for the shrimp cocktail. Also my wife and me ordered the scallop mains at $24.50 each and received only 5 scallops on each plate. As this is a meal we regularity order at different restaurants we felt for the price we were ripped off. Question: as only 4 of the 10 scallops had the orange tongue was the other six scallops real? Also they were under cooked.
We will certainly be telling our friends about our experience and unlikely to return to your restaurant.

I had a family party of five of a MIXED AGE GROUP OF ages 14 TO 74 AND went last evening to Breakers Napier and the service and the Steak Diane were terrific. The roast of the day (beef) and the hamberger were also very well received. We did not have long to wait and would strongly recommend this to others. We had a Club card which gave us a discount and we had 3 garlic breads and 5 meals plus wines and cola. The total cost was $113 after discounts and this was a extremely competitive price. I recommend to others as a reasonably priced family restaurant to go to. Thank you to a very pleasant staff who made our Easter family occasion one to remember

I loved it here. Went here recently for a friends birthday lunch. Food was delicious. We all had the chicken Diane. The sauce wasn’t too strong (which is how i prefer it), the chicken was cooked to perfection. And when we ordered 2 extra sides of chips, they were out. The desserts were also delicious.

We come here regularly, and we always get amazing service.

Hi, We use to go to the hastings restaraunt but because of bad experiences one after the other it completely put us off Breakers, We decided to try the Napier one out and OMG I am so glad I did. The food was beautiful, It didnt take long at all to be served. The staff was helpful and always had a smile. Very helpful. The restaraunt is very spacious and welcoming venue. Peronally the person who rated at the start sound like sabotage to me gee they dont even sell butter chicken. Our food came to $80 that was for 2 adult and 2 kids, entree, drinks and pudding for the kids. I would reccommend getting a breakers card too this always helps with a further 10% discount. Am going there tonight for Valentines.

Disgusting do not visit this resturant. We went as a party of 6. My father recieved a rotten steak, coated in garlic sauce in an attempt to hide the rotteness, after he had managed to not vomit, he was then offered no replacement but instead his money back. My meal came out 25minutes after everyone elses, and was luke warm at best, the butter chicken that my mother got, had been microwaved as it went cold very fast and stodgy is an understatment. The wait staff were rude and unhelpful to be polite. Also was expensive, couldnt believe it, $266.00 for a meal at breakers, what happened to the affordable family resturant?

Hi Sarah, I have requested further info as this does not sound like the usual Breakers experience. We don’t even sell Butter Chicken?! $266 does seem expensive for Breakers – did you ask for an itemised receipt?

No stars at all for an extremely disappointing breakfast experience. After a 30 minute wait all four of us were served cold food. The others decided to eat their’s but I couldnt bring myself to so took back to the counter and did get a replacement soon after. Unfortunately the replacement was also cold apart from the middle. Had obviously been microwaved. Was also swimming in syrup so super soggy…. Should have gone to maccas instead as definitly wasn’t worth the $70.

A great family restaurant with kids areas and plenty of room. Food nice and basic, with a big selection. Love the Fish N Chips for lunch, never lets me down. Pasta can be hit or miss but always willing to try again. Have a loyalty card and get good discounts from meals and drinks. Always a good place to eat as relaxed.
