Previous poster is spot on.A marvellous job has been done remodelling this old hotel.Wife and I called to have one of their “two for one” specials and opted for the fish and chip meal.These were served up quickly and consisted of two large battered dory fillets each served with a generous helping of properly cooked chips and a decent portion of a fresh and lovely salad.We didnt have room for desert as the main was sufficient.
We love the atmosphere of this place where the renovations have been done to a high standard employing the usual Breakers theme.
Great friendly staff too.We will be back!

The historic Tavistock hotel has undergone a total refurbishment and now hosts Breakers Cafe and Bar.
The venue is ideal for large groups and families. There is plenty of parking across the road.
The menu has plenty of choice (including vegetarian options) and there are specials too. The food is extremely good value for money, tasty and plentiful. You can also use the Breakers discount card for further 10% off your meal.
It’s a good place to meet up with friends or family in Central Hawkes Bay.
