Have been there many times for breakfast. I guess I am right to expect more than one egg when the menu offers ‘eggs, any style’. A very tiny portion has been served. And the 6 grain bread is really a poor piece of toast with some grains. And you should really train your staff before you let them loose to your clients, even she was nice and friendly. Lipstick on glasses from earlier customers. Result: We don’t go to Cabana anymore.

Definitely our favourite place to eat breakfast while holidaying at the Mount, we have eaten here many times. Big Breakfasts, Eggs Benedict and Pancakes are highly recommended. Staff are always friendly and meals even when busy don’t take too long. This cafe is always busy over summer period, but it is not surprising. Meals are generous and a good price.

Very good food, but extremely poor service and customer relations – and poor coffee.

I had breakfast here today and my meal was delivered without the side orders that I had requested and paid for. No apology was offered. Toast for my daughter was purchased, and this was delivered without butter or spread.

When I brought the above to the attention of the waiting staff, I was made to feel guilty as I had addressed the lack of sides and butter!

Again no apology, and the attitude of two of the waiting staff was appalling.

I mentioned this to the reception staff of the apartment where I was staying on Maunganui Rd, and the staff here remarked that they were forever hearing about the poor service and customer relations at Cabana.

I don’t recommend.

I guess your on to a sure thing with your position BUT really all our table ordered Eggs Benedict on rock hard Bagels… I was over-charged but the young guy on the till was not interested in giving me a refund… so I walked away lighter in pocket for below average food… Come on Eggs Benny are so easy to make.. The poached eggs were hard, the hollandaise had no flavour and you could not cut through the bagels….. Shocking
