Feeling too tired tonight so ordered off mains menu, starter of Salt & Pepper Calamari excellent, freshly cooked.
Mains menu food poor. Lamb fillet dry and tasteless, pork belly dry, stringy and no veggies seemed fresh.

Suspect main menu tired, reheated from weekend?

If dining here only order off Stonegrill or an item that needs cooking to order.
We will return but only for Stonegrill.

Absolutely amazing. So nice we keep going back for more and the deserts are to die for so make sure you leave space! Fantastic in every way!
Staff were/are very friendly, the food is brilliant, especially the stone grill stuff and everything comes with a smile, even the directions on how to cook it yourself!
We’ve been quite a few times (for lunch as well when it’s just as good) and never been disappointed.

Organised a group lunch with my workmates, there was about a doz of us and maybe 10 others in the restaurant while we were there. The initial service was great up until our food started coming out in the most random order, some people had already finished there mains before others had even got there starters. One of the group had to return his meal as the fish was dry and another got her main before her starter. Maybe 4 or 5 of us got the chowder and I don’t think 1 of us finished it.

Very disappointed had eaten there before and greatly enjoyed the experience, will not be recommending to my friends.

Excellent service and vey friendly staff. Food very good – had the custom three cuts of meat on the stone grill. Great idea. Only complaint – the tables are too small when there are four of you sitting around one table and there are three stone grills on the go! Would definately recommend and go again.

This place is awesome, great staff, awesome food, their stone grill take on surf and turf is to die for, and their home style bread. Have had several meals here, and give it top marks every time. Its the best restaurant in Rolleston so far, and worth the tiny trip over the railway to get there. You must try this place, we love it!!

This place is one of the best places to go for a good steak. Everything about this place is top notch – friendly staff, excellent service, good attention to detail and reasonable prices. Don’t be fooled into thinking that this place is no more than a nasty lunch bar because of it’s location in the middle of an industrial estate – it is anything but nasty and would be one of the best places in the Eastern Selwyn district. We’ll be back again and again.

Location is odd, but once you are there it is nice. A warm friendly atmosphere with hosts who happily chat away. Our food was good and a great idea with the stonegrills. Kids meals were great and kids were entertained with colouring in to do. We have been twice in the last month and both times went away with a full belly and happy experience. It is really for a special occasion (for a family of 5) price wise as it can be expensive but worth the money. Will definitely get there for breakfast.

My Wife and I popped in for breakfast on a Friday morning. I tried the Eggs benedict and was blown away. Yum! My wife ordered hotcakes and was very impressed. The guy out the front was magic. I will be back soon to try the lunches.

Had a great meal, was fantastic and very yummy. The service was excellent and entertaining, made us feel comfortable. Money well spent, recommended to all. A++++++

visited 28th Dec 2010 for dinner. Had big boy challange stone grill angus… nice cut of meat & great meal. Followed by the home made in house strawberry cheese cake (made by owner) man it was fantastic.I rate it better than strawberry fairs new york cheese cake. Great people, so thanks cafe I-Zone team, we will be back.

This place does really amazing food!Been there a 3 or 4times and not only is the food great but also the service.I highly recomend the lamb shanks but maybe get a half portion if you aren’t the biggest eater.They are massive!Also had the fish once which was snapper.Great when being from the North Island quite often blue cod is on the menu down here.Is definitly worthy of being one of the best if not best restaurants i have been to in Christchurch!
