The only thing this place has going, is that it seemed to be the only cafe style place in central Wairoa
When we arrived at the cafe, all the cabinet food was either wrapped in plastic, or in sandwich boxes. Which doesnt exactly give off a good vibe. So I asked the guy behind the counter (who I presume is the owner) if the egg sandwich had been made that day. I dont beleive this is an unreasonable thing to ask, as some cafes keep sandwiches in boxes for two days. I also needed to know because of a medical condition, I can only eat things that contain eggs that are fresh that day. He stared at me, then took a big sigh, and said “where do you people come from – honestly where do you people come from” I couldnt beleive has nasty it had been said. OK we all have bad days, but the question could have been answered in a better way. The way he treated me shocked me so much, once I have left the cafe, I burst into tears. I will never ever go back there again, the guy should go and work in a warehouse or somewhere where he doesnt have to deal with clients/members of the public because hes got no customer service whatsoever.
