Well where do I start? Coffee: Delicious! Famous “Kudos scroggin slice: Divine! Love this cafe…the food is well presented (actually so are the staff{wolf whistle!}) and the facilities are open and inviting and clean. Staff obviously enjoy working there (as sometimes when Im in on a Friday afternoon the kitchen is rife with giggling….in a good way…its not often you see hospitality staff enjoying themselves at the end of a busy working week!!!!) If you are in Christchurch Cafe Kudos is a must visit. If only to catch a taste of the delicious scroggin (or caramel) slice. I promise you will not regret it.

Went looking for a new cafe to try & was told about Cafe Kudos, so looked it up on Google Maps to find where it was. I happened to read “Review” to find ‘Micks’ review & was surprised to read what he wrote, we still decided to try it anyway. What a find, great cafe, heaps of space, indoor & outdoor and what a choice of food. My friend is Gluten free & the lady at the counter was very friendly & helpful in this regard. We found this place to have a great atmosphere & smiley very friendly staff. Sorry Mick but don’t now what happened to you but found this place to be everything I’ve been told & more, I’ll definitely be back. I asked the owner if this cafe was new, she said they have been there for 3 1/2 years. Loved it, Thanks Cafe Kudos, keep up the good work.

Very poor customer service! Very money oriented not at all customer focussed. Avoid it – I won’t go there again. This is clearly one of those cafes that have sprung up post earthquake to exploit cantabrians.

Whether eating in or out (but so far the weather has deterred us from actually getting outside) there is lots of room to enjoy relaxed snacks or meals. There is good spacing between tables so you don’t feel crowded, and a variety of seating plans from tables and chairs, couches in front of a cosy fire and private booths. Good coffee and very good food. Big bonus, they have ceiling baffles, so this is not a horrendously noisy cafe unlike many in our city.
