On the 5/11/2011 my partner and I had a meal at this cafe through a recommendation from a local motel. We were visiting your region from Taupo for the weekend. We had an entree and a main which was the scotch fillet with seasonal vegetable. Vegetables consisted of one very small piece of broccoli, some very hard carrots and one asparagus spear. We both felt the veges could have been more substantial. We were totally disappointed in the food although the service was acceptable. We don’t make a habit of criticizing restaurants however we were so disappointed especially after paying over $100 for the evening, we felt compelled to say something.
