Service was friendly enough but not outstanding. My mocha was definitely sub par, tasted like very weak coffee, with the only real chocholate taste coming from what they sprinkled on the top.
The hash stack was good (best hash browns I’ve had in ages!), and they happily substituted the spinach for spaghetti. However the hollindaise wasn’t nearly tangy enough and it had split.

We met for lunch on a cold, wintry day and enjoyed Caffiend 36′s cosy atmosphere. Their selection of counter food is extremely appealing. We had the spinach and feta filo, a huge chicken wrap, bacon and egg pie, finished off with a nutty tan square. Our service was ok – basic but efficient. Worth checking out if you’re at this end of Lower Hutt.
