Our boss bought us the “Chocolate Mud Cake with Chocolate Ganache Icing” for afternoon tea and oh my god it was the best cake we have ever eaten!!! we recommend to all our clients its a must to go and try there cakes, I’ve even pre ordered for Christmas lunch!!!

The Cake Lady shop is cute and the owner is very friendly, but I’ve got to say the choc brownies we bought for work morning tea were terribly dry. I’m not a coffee drinker, but they seem to do a good trade in the morning coffees locally.

Bit odd that all the reviews given are excellent and all made roughly over a two day period.. perhaps the owner is pushing people to this site to review? Not sure. Doesn’t seem overly authentic.

I work locally, and we may try them again for another bit of baking for a work treat… we’ll see.

The Cake Lady is my new favourite place for treats and coffee. Her baking tastes and looks amazing, the coffee is great and her toasted turkish bread sandwiches are delicious! I like it how she knows exactly what’s in everything because she’s made it herself. Great service too.

The Cake Lady is Amazing! Easily the best sandwiches, cakes, slices and hot chocolate on the coast! The prices are totally reasonable. The service is always friendly and efficient! Great for grabbing a sarnie and heading to the beach or eating at the cafe! Thanks for bringing quality food to the coast! This place is great! There is nothing here that I wouldn’t recommend and i only wish I was fortunate enough to work up here to eat here more frequently!

Friendly faces, great coffee and delicious baked goodies. I love the mish mash of retro plates and quirky seats. Happy to travel from Onehunga to Orewa to enjoy the tasty treats. The brioche is superb!

Very nice selection of cakes and muffins! Great place to have coffee and tasty treats! Recommend to anyone who loves cakes. Owners are very welcoming)) Soup in a cup – is good addition to their menu during winter months.

Awesome, friendly owner!!!!!! I have 2 littlies that love going all over the place, she didn’t mind at all! Normally I would feel uncomfortably because the kids are so busy, but she was so relaxed – which made me relax and have a GREAT COFFEE and awesome BROWNIE!!!

Best coffee on the coast by far!!! I would totally recommend. The cakes and sandwiches are delish. And the owner is delightful too.

This woman’s cakes are the business. They taste fantastic. I go there purely because I know I will get a great tasting cake and a decent coffee. The location is a little off the main drag however I don’t care because her food is totally worth it. This lady totally focuses on quality and great tasting food.
