We were very impressed the second we walked in, Firstly with the lovely greetings from friendly staff, fast service and divine food.
We had the Venison Wellington and My husband had a Scotch they were both perfectly cooked, perfect seasoning. We were also surprised at how reasonable the price was and how much food was on the plate.
We will definitely be back, I recommend this to all

Very nice decor although the colours (according to my esteemed design orientated compatriot) seemed a little over the top.
The Lunch Fish & beef were both lovely dishes, coffee was good & there is a brilliant wine selection.
Wish them well. We will return

I have been there three times in December and every time the food has been excellent, and the staff friendly the service has been excellent, the owner has made a point as well every time to come out and ask if our meals are okay.

The deco at Capri is really lovely, but the food is terrible. Had the Caesar salad and the chicken had been seared to death. Not only was it tough and dry, it was rock solid. The risotto was overdone and not creamy as it should be. The food was also very expensive for low quality cafe food. Because of the deco, it would probably be a good place to meet friends for drinks. Will not be going back to Capri for mediocre food.

We were very impressed with both the food and the friendly service. We needed to be in and out in a hurry and the staff were great in this regard with drinks appearing immediately in gorgeous glasses. The tapas were delicious and reasonably priced for Central Wellington. My only negative comment is that the toilets, while new & immaculately clean, are very narrow (750mm) and a very large person just wouldn’t fit in!!

I have dined at Capri many times now and every time the food, service and atmosphere have always been 10/10. I will return and keep recommending it to other people!

First time reviewer, long time eater.
We have been in Wellington for a year now and sampled many of the multitude of great places to eat that Wellington has to offer, Capri is unique in that it is the first time I have had a bad experiance dinning out in Wellington.
Friday lunch time, 50 minute wait for food that was small in quanity but large in price. My salmon was colder than an ex wife at a wedding. The long wait was blamed on the handcut fries (which to be fair were good), but given the time and price, we should have been well cut, not the fries. Waiter was nice enough to offer free coffees due to the long wait but not good enough to follow through with them.
Overall, if asked do you want to go there, as the 80′s drug ad says, JUST SAY NO.
