I think this cafe has gone from strength to strength in the last couple of years. The service has always been fabulous, but lately the menu has been updated and the grounds have been improved greatly. A very good place for families, the staff go out of their way to serve you what you need. There is plenty of space, high chairs and a baby change area. For the price, the food and menus for their events and a’la carte dining are all very reasonable. A definite winner for me and my family.

I attended a mid winter Christmas function at the cafe and found it to be very sub standard. The starter we were offered was pumpkin soup this was good, but we were only given a small slice of bread per person. The main was very average roast dinner, with meat thrown on the plate, and a mound of both roasted and boiled potatoes, all on plate had little to no flavor. Desert was a grainy small slice of cheese cake the worst I have ever had, the service was fine but the food was such that I will not ever return.

I have been a regular at Castle Park since the new management took over. I bring the kids and the rest of the family to enjoy the fun activities, the great food and the amazing service.
I have read some of the other comments and I am very surprised at the extremely negative comments from the person who attended the mid winter christmas function. I have bought my family to Castle Park for many get togethers, including a 3 course christmas dinner and we were all very happy with our experience. Was the cheesecake home-made??? I have eaten many of their home-made cheesecakes and never been disappointed before.
I think that this person should give it all another go, I would HIGHLY recommend this place, especially their new Rock Grill menu!! (YUM!!)
Try for yourself :)
