we just arrived back home from Australia after 30 years and when we were invited for a meal at Chapmans restaurant we were not so keen because we had planned an evening watching the RWC rugby. As it turned out our tummies got the better of us and we decided to go and dine with our friends.Now let me tell you it was the very best smorgesboard we had ever encountered and have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant to anyone who enjoys eating. There was not one disappointing moment. I have already recommended it to my family and plan another meal very very soon.

This is where our family eats out – birthdays and other celebrations, it is always an enjoyable experience. Staff are friendly, the dinner buffet is great with a good selection, although I did note on a recent visit in July, the desserts were a bit sparse and no pavlova, however it could of been because it was early in the week??

Would highly recommend, is a great place to bring a big group of people, they are accommodating and although the price has increased over the years, it is well worth it.

Fantastic Buffet! This is our family’s number one buffet restaurant in Rotorua due to the wonderful and delicious food as well as the terrific service! Price wise it is a little higher than most, but you are paying for great quality so you can’t really complain about that. Overall, it is a wonderful and satisfying dining experience.

To the poster below you should have gone Buffet. Its the best in town! Best seafood selection out.

food was nice although the so called “roasted seasonal vegetables” which were a part of the meal actually resembled more of a garnish rather than an actual vegetable. When I questioned where my vegetables were, we were delivered a rude response. Overall because the service was absolutely appaling (on leaving as well) we will never go back to this place. It really ruins your night when you go out for dinner and are treated with disrespect by the people who are employed there to offer you a fine dining service. Not happy and do not recommend this place to anyone based on our experience here.
