This is the best little family cafe I have ever been to. The service is amazing the people are warm and friendly – I can even text in my coffee order and it is there waiting for me.

Their lamb shank pies are a must! If they don’t have something they will make it for you AND they cater!

If you want something funky, inviting Chill on Willis street is a must!

Note the dates when you read these reviews. Since the new owners took Chill over, the food and service has improved NO end. As someone who lived in the hotel above for a few months, I became a regular customer and Chill is a fabulous place to go for a tasty, cheap meal be it breakfast or lunch. And the service is lovely, Hannah, Ian and gang – you’re awesome! As my rating says “I’m a fan” ;)

Last week we read a good report in the newspaper re Chill Cafe’s pies etc. Today we tried them out – absolutely wonderful, piping hot, great pastry (not greasy), just like the very best home-made pies, full of very tender meat & tasty gravy. Great coffee & a delectable chocolate caramel macadamia slice, also. Friendly staff & fast service. “Sarah Town” & “Peejay” – if you read this review, please consider giving Chill Cafe another go. You will not be disappointed this time around.

I though “Chill” would reference a laid back air, not the temperature of the coffee, food, or service. This place was dreadful. It took 10 minutes to be served, even though there was only one other patron. The coffee was cold and had to be sent back (replacements were hot though), my tortilla stack was cold in the middle and had absolutely no flavour. This was lunchtime, so they should have been on the ball. This place simply doesn’t care; I would never go back there.

the service at this place was appalling! We had to wait over 40 minutes for our lunch order, and when we asked how long it would be, they said it had only been 30 minutes since ordering.
When we left they refused to honor discount vouchers, saying it was one per table, even though none of the conditions specified this. The let us use the vouchers in the end, but it took a fight and they clearly do not value repeat customers, we would never go back again, which is a shame as the food was lovely. Let down by poor service.

Came here for tapas last night and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Very affordable and nice service & atmosphere.
The garlic bread was the best we ever had – worth going just to get that! ;-)
Recommended! :)
