I’m not really big on ‘reviews’ but seeing as I come here so often and am always raving about it to friends- thought I should put something on the internet! Always, always impressed with the food, service and prices here. The menu is refreshingly daring and though the food is fantastic, the vibe of the place is also what keeps me coming back. You can really tell they go out of their way to use the freshest and highest quality ingredients – and as a foodie with a chef boyfriend – (who is highly critical of the food wherever we go!) we are never disappointed. Love Chow – 5 stars!!

The waitstaff did not seem very happy to be here – I would put this down to poor team management. Yes the food was quite nice but the environment was not particularly friendly or welcoming, and this is vitally important to me when choosing a restaurant.

The food here is really tasty but the waiting staff don’t seem to have had much training. I arrived at 5.30pm to wait for friends in the small bar area. I was not greeted or asked if I wanted anything and I was there for 20 minutes. Pretty slack and I felt quite annoyed. I shouldn’t have to ask for help when I walk into a restaurant.

The food was really tasty but dishes were left and in the end we didn’t get dessert or coffee as nobody came to clear out plates or ask if we wanted anything else. I noticed the table across from us had left and their main plates were still on the table as well.

We love Chow.Fantastic.
Love the blue cheese and peanut wontons! The coconut rice is wonderful. Salmon parcels. Chicken satay
Orange pistachio salad. And the beef noodle soup.
The service is always good, and the plates are always perfect
An absolute must. Kids like it too.

Dined with a party of eight. Everyone in the party spoke highly of the food which I would rate excellent in both choice and quality. The sauvignon blanc available with the $25 menu was very disappointing.
There was a delay in having our orders taken but one this was done meals were delivered promptly and efficiently.

Excellent food and service. Minimal wait. Great txt reminder.
All in all very good as usual – and will recommend.

Came here a few weeks back. The atmosphere was warm and the staff were responsive. They knew what was good on the menu and were efficient. The menu had a comfortable selection of dishes and the cocktail menu wasn’t bad. But the food was good, not great. The summer rolls were a bit too fragile and fell apart easily, and they didn’t taste as good as if you bought them from a traditional Thai restaurant.

I have been to Chow many times and really enjoy going there. Always a great place to have a bite to eat and to meet with friends. The atmosphere, servcie and reasonable prices is hard to beat.

Groovy setting – perfect for its style of asian fusion small plates. I enjoyed the Monday “Buy one, get one free” deal … The deep-fried tofu was hotly sprinkled with chilli, while the Vietnamese rice-paper rolls were flush with coriander. The sake was tremendously good. Of course.

I’d actually like to give Chow 9 out of 10, but I’m rounding up, as I think 4 out of 5 sounds too low… because they do what they do, extremely well. But I just wanted to knock a bit off, as I was not made to feel intensely cared for by my waiter… who wasn’t able to suggest something I could compliment my meal with to cool my palate against the heat of the chilli tofu, the intense coriander and the fiery sake. (He asked the kitchen, who sent out a wee bowl of sweet chilli sauce?!) I was thinking something creamy or avocado-ish… Anyhow, I’m being pedantic. I should have just asked for a side of avocado.

Despite their inability to read my mind or come up with a creative alternative, I have to conclude that it’s a great place for social meet-ups with interesting dishes and a funky layout :) I definitely recommend.

It’s been a while since I have dined here but as always it was a tastebud tingling sensational experience. I’m not into sharing my food so I had the chicken salad and a side of grilled mushrooms all to myself. Yummy-o!!

Beautiful, fresh, tasty food; and excellent service as I remembered from last time. Must remember to come back here more often :-)

We had a fabulous meal at Chow last Friday night. Friendly service, and the tastiest food. High on the spicy side, but we all fully enjoyed our meal. You can read more about our meal and see images at http://celestereviews….

Love the decor and the ambiance of the place. Have not had a chance to try the food yet, as I was meeting someone there just for a drink. Have never seen such a snob serving us just because we were not having dinner?! When the coffee arrived at our table, he was practically throwing the cups on the table! One of the worst hospo fella I have seen in such an establishment!

Thank goodness the next lady that served us was more than pleasant!

Awesome vibes in this place!
Great atmosphere, yummy food, the staff were very friendly and helpful and gave fantastic service.
Our waiter was really funny too!

I would reccommend sharing the food so you get to sample lots of things and booking as it can be hard to get a table during the busier times.
We are addicted!

A funky atmosphere has tyred to be creative here, i think Mondays are the only day I’ll go here! 2 for 1 Mondays actually make your money feel well spent. Other than that the service is of a high standard.

Funky atmosphere but expensive for what you get. The meals are small and overly herby without much substance.

If you want to go somewhere with quirky food and want to eat artistic meals rather than taste or value for money then this is your place.

It seems to be the kind of place to experience and to be popular but actually is a little over rated.

Very popular, casual dining experience, in retro surroundings, and tantalising gourmet tastes of Asia. Try the coconut rice and the salmon parcels. Mmmmm! Wish I lived closer.
Great service and friendly staff. Book ahead as it gets very busy, especially at lunchtimes.
