Decided to dine at this bar because it was in the entertainment book. Food here is what you expect – pub food (nothing too flash but tasted good). Pricing was ok.
Furniture was uncomfortable (all wooden with no padding) however was clean.

Our main qualms with the place was the poor service.
Arriving there we were not greeted by anyone and waited at the bar for almost 5mins before being served, what made it worse was there were staff around not doing anything – one of the staff eventually came over. They were not very warm or welcoming and almost made us feel like they were doing us a favour by having us there.

Ordered basic entrees with mains. Entrees took 30mins (we’re talking garlic bread and calamari, nothing too major) and the mains another 40mins after that. By the time the food came out we were starving. We were waiting for dessert for a further 30mins and were about to leave (without paying for the dessert as we were sure they had forgotten) when it finally came out. Didnt have anyone come round to check up on our meals or offer top ups on drinks. Empty glasses were not collected the entire time we were there and we ended up having to place them on the table next to us. We made a comment regarding the food taking so long to arrive however we did not receive an apology.

All in all i would not dine or even drink here again. There are many other places around which offer good customer service and food for the same price.

I love this pub. Its not pretentious. Its truly authentic. The shank I had was huge and so delish! Best Guinness I’ve had since my return from Europe. Very friendly staff and a really good vibe. Good prices compared to other pubs I’ve been to recently. I will so be back!

The food here is average. The prices are OK. Unfortunately I had the Irish stew which was not good at all.
The environment is that of an average pub. – nothing special.
The location is odd. It is down a driveway off the road and parking is difficult.
My main gripe is that the service was below par. I had two issues that were not dealt with satisfactorily.
Would I come here again – sorry no, there are many other better Irish venues around town.

Went there early last year and it was just OK. Went back again this week and was mighty impressed at the improvements that have been made. Whole place had a great friendly vibe and food was delish! I highly recommend the squid for a starter and steak for the main. Yum!
