Group of friends went for the winter warmer lunch. Excellent food. Good wine list. Will visit again, especially for their special lunch menus. These are not huge meals, but very nice for lunch. $25 for 3 courses, and interesting choices.

The setting is superb, set amongst avocado and fruit trees, with tables sheltered from the sun if needed. On a blisteringly hot Sunday the breeze sauntering off the sea was refreshing.
The cellar manager was knowledgeable and patient with our wine queries and we tasted a few before settling on our lunchtime tipple.
The service can be slow as everything is cooked to order and at weekends they are busy as. However, we were kept updated with the progress and didn’t consider this a problem as it meant we had more time to natter and taste the wine (hic!).
Clearview is well worth the drive out to Haumoana and in my opinion the only thing which would improve this place was if you could actually see the ocean while dining.
