“The Cock & Bull does bloody GOOD pub food, and their special menu does actually go beyond that” – Mitch B.’s review.

Come in and sample this traditional English Pub & Brewery’s very own award winning beers which have been handcrafted in a rich Porter style with has origins back to the mid 1700′s. Monks Habit is New Zealands most awarded beer and is available on tap.

Although we are known for our award winning ales we take pride in the food we serve, with a wholesome range of tasty menu selections, some of which are exactly the sort of food you’d expect to find in a good old fashioned English Pub.

There is always something happening:

Tuesday Trivia from 8pm
Wednesday VIP night
Thursday Business Card Draw, platters and Live Jazz
Friday and Saturday Live Bands
Saturday and Sunday Brunch
Sunday Traditional English Roast Beef with all the Trimmings

If it’s a private function or conference with break out rooms you are after please contact us to discuss your options.

We look forward to seeing you there.

Cheers & Beers …

I have had dinner/lunch there a few times now.
I love the Pub food here.
Steak Sandwich or Cajun Chicken Salad is my favourite.
Always a good quick service.
Food is always nicely done.

Went from work near by, manager was rude, was not happy that we were having more than 1 or 2 from happy hour. Went with about 6 from work for a good time, but felt we were not welcome. We work in a job where our watches are set to exact time, and 5 minutes before 6 pm when happy hour finishes we were told it was 6.02pm. If you do not like happy hour customers then do not offer it. Very disapointed. Place could have had a lot more customers especially from our large workforce if acted appropriate. Now we go to macs bar, pay more but treated well.

Great restaurant, We go there quite often with or without the kids. Never had a problem with the staff, Been there to eat when there is a game on, a band playing, or just for a meal the food and the staff have always been great.

Ok let’s get one thing clear before we start…. it’s a pub ok, so let’s expect pub food…..
Now we have that clear, the cock and bull does bloody GOOD pub food, and their special menu does actually go beyond that, with a few dishes which you’d usually see at monsoon poon, or andiamo, so you might just be surprised. Quality, well it’s fine, no complaints there at all. As a pom, I have to say that if you fancy a good solid pub platter, yet your wife or partner is a bit more of a restaurant type, you’ll both have be satisfied. As for the beer, well it’s fantastic.
