Come in and sample the Cock & Bull’s very own award winning beers which have been handcrafted in a rich Porter style with has origins back to the mid 1700′s. Monks Habit is New Zealands most awarded beer and is available on tap.

Although we are known for our award winning ales we take pride in the food we serve, with a wholesome range of tasty menu selections, some of which are exactly the sort of food you’d expect to find in a good old fashioned English Pub.

There is always something happening:

Tuesday Trivia from 8pm
Wednesday VIP night

Friday and Saturday Live Bands
Saturday and Sunday Brunch
Sunday Traditional English Roast Beef with all the Trimmings

I work in Newmarket just around the corner of the pub. For some reason I’ve never been in there before, I don’t know why I just didn’t expect anything but a normal pub. My friend wanted to go to Cock and Bull for lunch one day.. and I have to say I was very surprised!! Both of us had great food and a couple of their home brewed beers! I had no idea the pub has such amazing food!! They also have special deals every week and service was quick and friendly. I’ll def go in more often from now on!

After being told haw terrible this place is, I got to have my own chance of finding out. A large group of committee, we had two tables. We were assigned our very own waiter. It was not long before we got a new one, that was amazing. As was the first. Although there was a long period of time between entree and mains, it was not neglect. However, I did look up the menu on the net that day to make my choice… and they had no mushrooms, so it quashed my entree AND main I’d chosen. Although the mains had a size problem which left a little to be desired, they cooked my steak to perfection. Unfortunately it was the last meal out and everyone else had finished. The band was great, the Atmosphere brilliant, and the t-shirts…
I am glad I gave the C’n'B a go – thanks for the night!
