The food presentation I witmnessed was near perfection, salivating it was – cannot wait till I am in Blenheim again & hungry.

yip, best fish’n'chips for a long time. have been 3 times in last 4 months and consistently very good service and product. cooked hot enough so that the foods not too oily – comes out crisp and moist. for us old schoolers getting real shark (rig) and tatties is a plus (plus the odd oyster!).

Have received top service from Codfathers the three or four times I’ve been there. The lovely lady behind the counter goes above and beyond when it comes to serving her customers. She treats you like she actually values you as a customer (unlike many other food outlets in Blenheim). The food is definately worth the money. Premium fish and chips.

I was distinctly underwhelmed by Codfathers. I understand that takeaway outlets are bound to be busy on a Friday night but this establishment was a shambles.

As I waited 50 minutes for an order which I was told would take 20 minutes I witnessed numerous people have their orders mucked up. It is understandable that everyone has a bad night but Codfathers is just slack.

For example, alongside our order of fish and chips we ordered a “chunky burger”. The burger sat in a warmer on the front counter for half an hour before the bulk of our order arrived. The young lady whom was on the counter refused a refund saying “its fine its been in a warmer”. No burger that has been in a warmer for 30 minutes is going to be “fine” (predictably the meat was dry, the lettuce wilted, and the bun soggy). Questionable food handling practices to say the least.

I will not be back and would not recommend to anyone. Overpriced, poor quality, and definitely not worth it.

We went to codfather for the first time a few weeks back and they were the best fish and chips we have had for a long time, the women working was very nice over the phone and even nicer in person and the fish were huge and beautifully cooked, we are codfather fans now and got a few other family and friends into them that love them also.

We wanted chips to go with our BBQ on Friday night, so decided to try Codfathers. While we waited for our order to be taken, the lady behind the counter told someone on the phone their order would be approx 25 mins. So we thought OK, we can wait that long – over an hour later, our two scoops of chips were ready – and when we got home, they were not even the crinkle cut chips we had ordered, but straight cut, nor were they that nice. Definately not worth the time or money!

We enjoyed our fish & chips nice & fresh not over cooked the paper was not greasy , good friendly service & nice clean & tidy shop
