Would not go here again. Staff were rude while waiting for our order they were rolling their eyes at each other. Not child friendly. Used cups everywhere. Staff too busy talking to each other. Worst place we have been to in Wellington.

I ordered pancakes, which just turned out to be those pikelets you can buy ready made in a packet, sprinkled with a bit of icing sugar and a sliced strawberry, pathetic and overpriced, will not go again.

On arrival to the coffee club we were simply just looked at while the staff carried on with their own business the cabinet was undesirable and empty and the menu was fairly over priced for what it was the hot chocolates we had were OK to start till after you sip of the silky milk only to find the h/c your drinking is in fact colored milk in need of sugar and actually watery the staff were rude and there seemed to be a huge lack of communication and more of a sense of I cant be bothered here’s your stuff and hurry up and go not impressed at all

My boyfriend and I, in our quest for food the day after Boxing Day, ended up at The Coffee Club.
The boyfriend ordered the eggs benedict, I got the BLT, and we both ordered a mocha. The coffee was quite nice, which I guess it would have to be with a name such as The Coffee Club. The same can’t be said for the food or service though.
The eggs arrived first, lukewarm already, with no cutlery. A few minutes later, our cutlery turns up, still minus the BLT. By the time it did show up, my boyfriend was halfway through his food. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the staff had said the BLT was awhile off, instead they seemed only capable of dumping food/cutlery on our table and running away.
It seems The Coffee Club are one of those places which insist on servicing food on small plates, and then just stacking the food up making it impossible to eat without making a huge mess. My boyfriends eggs ended up sliding off and landing on the table when we attempted to position his stack of food into a way it would be possible to attack with a knife and fork. I just settled for using my hands for mine. Not fun.
The BLT was very very average. The bread was incredibly crunchy, the roof of my mouth was in pain once I was finished, and the fries didn’t taste properly cooked. The menu claims it was meant to come with some kind of dressing, I did not taste this at all though. As for the eggs, they were overcooked and the hollandaise sauce was tasteless.
Overall, it was not worth the $35ish we paid.

They have a few nice things – their Vanilla Yo-Yo bisucuits are delicious – but otherwise, the menu is supremely average and very very expensive for what you get.
A friend and I spent $35 for lunch (all together) and left still feeling hungry.
If you’re looking for lunch this end of town, there’s much better places.
