We had a terrible experience at Coffee Club, Victoria Street, when on holiday January 2013.
Lunch was ordered, and several members of our group were served their food.
After 45 minutes, during which time customers who arrived after us were served, we enquired about the delay.
The manager was unreasonably rude, very unhelpful, and unnecessarily abrupt. She offered no explanation or apology for our delay and ended our experience by insulting my mother!
We eventually recieved a begrudging refund and were ordered off the premises.
After many years in the service industry and travelling, this must be the worst experience to date.

Having purchased a deal voucher I was looking forward to a nice brunch at The Coffee Club. Every time I had rung to make a booking in previous weeks they were booked out so I took that as a good indication that it would be an excellent place to dine. From the moment we got there I was annoyed. I went to the counter to ask where my reserved table was and the girl was too busy to even make any form of recognition that I was here. Looking around I spotted the table and my group of 5 sat down, expecting to be served. Nope. We had to get back up again to order at the counter. The menu is good, fairly standard brunch fare nothing at all exceptional.

The first 3 of us ordered successfully but my friend was shocked when the store manager demanded that he hurry up as there was a queue (of three people) behind him in such an outright rude way. We could not get over the fact that she could not cope in a busy cafe- he had taken merely a moment to pause and she began a rant about how busy it was. Very strange.

The food came and it was, at best, mediocre. The big breakfast had chewy steak and the scrambled eggs had an odd texture. I would certainly never ever return. We had to approach the counter several times for water carafes. Frankly I feel bad that I took my poor group there – no matter how good a deal is it certainly is not worth being humiliated. No customer service whatsoever. Dine at your own peril!
