Like Cassandra, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful.
I have just spent 3 days in Timaru, and ate breakfast here all 3 days. The breakfast stack is tasty and surprisingly filling, and the coffee is very good (without being outstanding).
I’d definitley go back.
Oh yeah – they also open nice and early – I was breakfasted and gone before most cafes were showing any signs of life, let alone open..

I am a fan of this cafe and come often. Only downside is that it can be very busy at times, in which case there can be a bit of a wait… but otherwise, the hot drinks are very good and there is more variety of them there than some other cafes. Also lots of cold drinks as well, such as Frappes.

Thought the food variety was quite good, as there was some vegetarian, some gluten free, and a mix of sweets and savourys.
The cakes are top notch! I highly recommend the carrot cake or the choc rasp torte! YUM!
They also have bagels with a choice of cream cheeses/toppings! (good bagels seem to be hard to find, so this is a bonus!)

Not the best- took friends there and ended up with burn tasting coffee.
Their frappes are nice and their cabinet food looks delicious but unfortunately looks slightly better than it tastes.

Great coffee and food but feel the young staff are rather unwelcoming! They can be a bit snobby so now I try to steer clear!
